It’s been almost a year of being stuck at home, and we’re definitely running low on things to do. We get outside and ride scooters or go for walks as often as we can {and luckily the weather is starting to warm up} but it’s still February, so that’s not always an option!
One of the best ways to spend time together inside is to do fun crafts and DIYs- but the supplies for those can add up quickly! So today I’m sharing a craft that you can make using materials from around your house and the dollar store!
This fun craft only takes a few minutes to make, so if your kids don’t have the longest attention spans for crafting they can totally still tackle this one. And if they do like getting crafty? You can get lots of these supplies and let them make a whole bunch in all different styles- who says a rainbow has to follow ROY G. BIV?
What supplies can I find at the dollar store?
Our dollar store always has popsicle sticks and cotton balls, and right now they have these adorable pots, gold coins and shamrocks. You can get glue and markers there too if you don’t have any!
If your store doesn’t, check out the links below to buy them on Amazon for a great price.
And if you already have glue, markers, cotton balls and popsicle sticks at home, even better!
What age is this craft for?
This craft is simple enough for even toddlers to do {just maybe help them with the glue and be sure to supervise so they don’t eat the cotton balls!}. It’s also fun for older kids- my 11 year old loves to decorate his desk for the holidays so he’ll be decorating with this for St. Patrick’s Day!
