We are right in the middle of summer and I don’t know about your kids, but mine are getting pretty bored. Shane’s been out of school for a month now and even though I’ve been trying to keep them busy and have been doing fun things with them, we’ve gotten into a bit of a rut.
The heat here is extreme in the summer {110 degree days are normal} so it limits our options a bit. We can’t really go to a park until it cools off which is past their bedtime these days, so we like to spend some time in our backyard before we go to sleep so we can get outside a bit without having to play on super hot metal equipment that’s been in the sun all day. Our backyard isn’t huge but does have plenty of room for some fun activities. Below, I’ve gathered some of my favorite activities that we have already done, as well as some that I really want to do!
