This recipe is great for parties since it’s made of individual portions- these are the cutest little appetizer or dessert for a Thanksgiving, Friendsgiving, or any fall occasion!

Do you cook apples before making pie?
The short answer? Nope, no matter how you’re making apple pie you don’t need to cook the apples ahead of time.
The better answer? This recipe doesn’t call for the cooking of apples or even the cutting of apples- it uses the ultimate shortcut ingredient, apple pie filling! This helps you make the recipe even faster and also makes it easier to fit the filling in the small bite sized pies.
How do you keep the crust of apple pie from getting soggy?
Since these are small, bite-sized pies with just a little bit of filling in them, they shouldn’t get soggy like traditional pie can. However, if you’re finding them a bit too soggy for your liking you can add a small layer of dried {unseasoned} breadcrumbs or corn flakes. To do this, you’ll add the crust layer, then the breadcrumbs or cereal, then proceed as the recipe indicates.
Does apple pie need to be refrigerated?
Apple pie- including these mini ones- do not need to be refrigerated as long as they contain sugar {which is present in this recipe in the form of the apple pie filling}. To keep these pies from drying out, wrap them in foil or plastic wrap and eat within two days or freeze the remainders.
