I participated in an Influencer Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Mustela. I received product samples to facilitate to my review and to thank me for participating.
Shane & I have eczema that is very easily triggered. We have to be very careful with the products we use- everything from our laundry detergent to our sunscreen. Zac has sensitive skin as well, just like all babies. I’m not sure yet if he has eczema, but in any case I want to be sure to use gentle, baby-friendly products with him as well.
Because we all have such sensitive skin, it’s hard to find products that we can use without a reaction. The only body wash I’ve found for Shane that didn’t give him a rash after a few uses had to be special-ordered through a rep.
It isn’t exactly easily to get my hands on, and since Justin gives Shane his baths & I don’t always know when we’re running low, it’s been kind of a pain {not to mention it’s crazy expensive}. I was so excited to discover Mustela’s bath & body products for baby!
Mustela is already the number one baby care brand in Europe and has been around for sixty years. They recently reformulated their Mustela Bébé product line based on 10 years of skin research & it’s now featuring a patented, next generation protective ingredient, Avocado Perseose. This ingredient is exclusive to Mustela and joins the high percentage of natural ingredients in Mustela products- in fact, an average of 92% of their ingredients are of natural origin.
I recently received a variety of their products, including the 2-in-1 Hair and Body Wash, Facial Cleansing Cloths, HydraBebe Body Lotion, Hydra Stick with Cold Cream Nutri-Protective and Stretch Marks Care Oil. I haven’t tried all of them yet {we haven’t been in the cold yet for me to try the cold cream and I have barely had enough time to shower since Zac came, let alone apply the much-needed stretch marks care oil} but everything that we’ve tried has been wonderful!
My favorite product so far has definitely been the facial cleansing cloths. Since Zac has such sensitive skin, we don’t bathe him every day {not that babies need that anyway} so being able to give him a quick wipe with a facial cloth every night has been perfect. I love the way he smells after I use it & he actually smiles and giggles when I use it, as if it’s a game! He also had a pretty nasty rash there for a couple of weeks, but using the wipes {and a tiny bit of medicine} cleared it up quickly and has kept it from coming back.
I also love the 2-in-1 Hair and Body Wash- it’s been great for Shane even and has replaced the hard-to-get body wash he was previously using. It’s also been great for Zac because he’s not a huge fan of baths & it lets me get him clean much faster than using two separate products. It smells great too, something that worried me at first since my boys are allergic to fragrance in products, but it’s hypoallergenic & neither kiddo has had any reaction to it.
We’ll be continuing to use Mustela products, and I can’t wait to try the ones I haven’t yet! The other day at Target I saw an entire section of Mustela products so I can’t wait to pick up a few more things to try.

This is definitely a product I need to keep a close eye on because I have a daughter who has sensitive skin. I can’t imagine baby body wash working for her the rest of her life.
