Last month, I had the opportunity to go to Disneyland twice during their Halloweentime festivities. I went with my family the very first weekend that it was Halloween- in fact, we were so early that they didn’t even have all the treats yet! Then I went back a couple weeks later for a conference, and while I was there I tried a couple more treats that I missed the first time.

When you go to Disneyland during any holiday season or celebration, there is always a lot of specialty, limited-time-only food to try. But if you’re only there for a day or even a few days, there’s no way to get to all of it!
Below I’ve included a few of the Halloween items that either I tried, my family tried, someone sitting next to me tried, or I happen to see at the Parks and think it’s worth trying. If you’re heading to the Parks this month, be sure to check out a couple of these while they last!
Treats I Tried

Halloween Whoopie Pie
What it is: Two cake-like cookies marbled with green & purple, topped with an assortment of monster features {they’re all unique!} and loaded with frosting and Halloween sprinkles
Where to find it: Grand Californian Lobby, at the Holiday Cart next to the giant Oogie Boogie Cake
What I thought: This was one of my absolute favorite treats and was definitely worth the quick walk over to the hotel. You do NOT have to be a guest at the hotel to buy this, and I highly recommend getting it! The inside is a buttercream frosting, not whipped cream- and it’s good frosting. This was Zac’s pick from the treat table, and I wish I would have had more than a couple of bites!

Chocolate Chip Shot Glass
What it is: A Chocolate Chip Cookie shaped into a shot glass, with milk chocolate coating on the inside. This is filled with your choice of beverage: choose from chocolate milk, 2% milk, cotton candy milk, or a variety of adult beverages. Of course, it’s rimmed with Halloween sprinkles!
Where to find it: This was also located at the Lobby Holiday Cart at the Grand Californian.
What I thought: This was a fun one because of how unique it was, but I thought it was just alright. It was a little bit dry and the amount of milk in there was really small- plus you had to drink it before eating the cookie so then after eating the cookie there was no milk left. This one wasn’t bad, but not worth choosing over some of the other treats.

Pumpkin Mickey Cookie
What it is: This simple treat is just a sugar cookie decorated to look like the giant Mickey pumpkin.
Where to find it: Throughout the resort, including at shops. I got mine at Candy Palace, but also saw them at Marceline’s in Downtown Disney.
What I thought: This was a cute and simple snack that was easy to buy ahead of time and enjoy later when I needed a quick pick-me-up. Great for littles who need lots of snacks or for bringing back as a souvenir!

Pumpkin Spice Beignets
Where to find them: Mint Julep Bar
What I thought: THESE WERE SO GOOD. These Beignets were the highlight of my day, and I highly recommend them to anyone who even kind of likes Pumpkin Spice. The Pumpkin Spice flavor was light- it was definitely there, but not overwhelming like it can be sometimes. This was a must-have treat for sure.
Blackberry Midnight Julep
What it is: Blackberry, Citrus and Mint with a lychee “moon”
Where to find it: Mint Julep Bar
What I thought: This was alright. I wouldn’t say it was bad, but I wouldn’t order it again. I didn’t get much citrus flavor and while I do like blackberry, I thought it was kind of one-note and a little bit syrupy.

Cauldron Popcorn Bucket
What it is: An annual Passholder exclusive popcorn bucket- it costs $19.99 at purchase {and comes filled with popcorn} but also allows the AP Holder to refill for just $1.50 as many times as they want through Halloween.
Don’t have an Annual Pass? The refill offer is exclusive to this bucket, but they do also have a Pumpkin Balloon Bucket and an Oogie Boogie Bucket!
Where to find it: Roughly half of the popcorn stands have the AP Cauldron
What I thought: Disney’s popcorn is always a treat, and this was our first time purchasing a popcorn bucket. This bucket is worth it IF you know you’ll refill it at least a couple of times, or {in my case} you plan on using it as Halloween decor!

S’mores Churro
What it is: Churro rolled in graham cracker crumbs and chocolate chips and topped with a marshmallow drizzle
Where to find it: Churro cart near the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail
What I thought: This one had SO much potential, but HAS to be hot when you get it. I got one super late at night and it was cold, so it was just okay. But if you ask for a hot one, I have a feeling this is a must-try!
Green Apple Spell Lemonade
What it is: Lemonade with sour green apple syrup, cherry pearls and raspberry sauce
Where to find it: Smokejumpers Grill
What I thought: This drink was SO good! I drank it so fast I didn’t even get a photo, and had fun getting every last cherry pearl. This drink was extra refreshing because of how hot it was when we were there!

Honorable mention: Arendelle Aqua Cake Pop
What it is: This one isn’t a Halloween treat, but is only there for a short time so I wanted to mention it in case you’re going soon. This cake pop is vanilla on the inside with a chocolate shell that is “Arendelle Aqua”- the latest color trend from the Parks.
Where to find it: A variety of candy shops, including Candy Palace {where I got it}
What I thought: This was really good! The chocolate shell was thick and the inside was nice and moist. It’s very sweet, but if you are familiar with vanilla cake pops it tastes like it always does.
Things That Looked Amazing But That I Didn’t Try:

Cauldron Cake Pops
Where to find them: Trolley Treats or Candy Palace

Witch Minnie Rice Krispies
Where to find them: Candy Palace

Hitchiking Ghost Blue Velvet Cake
What it is: Blue velvet cake with blueberry puree, rice croquette brittle, and vanilla-blueberry crisp
Where to find it: River Belle Terrace

Halloween Minnie Mouse Cake
What it is: Cinnamon cake filled with praline and crispy cookies, finished with orange-colored glaze, sprinkles, and a witch Minnie chocolate piece
Where to find it: Plaza Inn

Chocolate-Coffee Yule Log
What it is: Chocolate sponge cake wrapped around coffee-flavored chocolate buttercream with chocolate crispy pearls, chocolate drizzle, and multicolored crispy pearls.
Where to get it: Plaza Inn
