It’s hard to believe, but the first Harry Potter book was published in the U.K. 20 years ago this year! I remember buying it at our school’s book fair when it came out in the U.S. and while I had always loved reading, the Harry Potter series took it to a whole new level.
Over the last 20 years, there have been 7 books {8 if you include the recently published Cursed Child script} and 8 movies- and there’s even a Wizarding World of Harry Potter, where you can wear robes and get your own wand.
Knowing that I first laid my eyes on that book almost 20 years ago makes me feel old, but there’s an upside- it’s time for us original Harry Potter fans to share the magic with a new generation!
Recently Shane watched a few of the tamer movies with us, and now we’re starting to read them together. To help us keep our place in the books, I printed and laminated these fun Harry Potter bookmarks!

Featuring a few of our favorite characters and some of my personal favorite quotes, these bookmarks are perfect for whatever book you’re reading- Harry Potter or otherwise!
You can download them for yourself here or by clicking the picture below! Print them on cardstock to use them as-is, or use a laminator to keep them in perfect condition. Enjoy!

Ps. It’s come to my attention that guests at Universal Studios theme parks are printing these and hiding them around the parks for others like reader Cheryl did here and I just wanted to say how much I LOVE this and encourage it!
If you find these at the parks or leave them for others, I’d love to see a photo if you think to share one. You can also find hints for hidden item locations in these Facebook groups: UO Rocks | Universally Crafted
