These days, I feel like I’m going non-stop. If I’m not playing “presents” with Shane for the hundredth time {a game Shane invented where he puts random objects in gift bags & has me open them over & over} I’m running errands or cleaning the house or setting up decorations or trying to get work done or… the list goes on & on. It’s hard not to forget some things when you have so much on your plate so I really rely on technology like the Walgreens Mobile App to help me keep me going!
There’s a Walgreens just a block from my house, and between my morning sickness medication and my rescue inhaler, I am there at least once a month filling a prescription {and a lot more often picking up odds & ends}.
Walgreens makes the whole process easier with their app, because I don’t have to call anyone and wait on hold or go down to the store to submit a request- I can just hit a couple of buttons on my phone! I just open the app, which conveniently saves my login information, and I can pull up a whole list of my medications.
I choose the one I want to refill, set a date & time for pickup, and submit! Even better- I get an email and a push notification {you can adjust this in the settings} when my prescription is ready for pickup, so I don’t waste my time by going before it’s ready.
The app can do more than that, though! You can set custom medication reminders in the app so that it can remind you to take your medicine daily, weekly, hourly, monthly or on specific dates.
I can’t take it now because it’s not pregnancy-safe, but I usually take a controller medication for my asthma. It should be taken exactly every 24 hours for the best efficiency, but it can cause drowsiness when you first take it, so my doctor recommended that I take it before bed.
Well my bedtime ranges anywhere from 10pm to 3am, so I wasn’t taking my medicine at the right time every day! When I go back on it after the baby comes, I’ll be using the reminder on the Walgreens iPhone app so that I can make sure to take it at the same time every night.
If you aren’t feeling well, you can also use the Walgreens mobile app to find a Healthcare Clinic near you. Many Walgreens now have these Healthcare Clinics {I have visited mine & loved the convenience of it} and you can specifically search for a Walgreens near you that has one inside.
Once your results come up, you can even check the wait times to decide which one to go to! If you don’t need the Healthcare Clinic but are looking for another specific service, like a 24-hour pharmacy, 24-hour store, photo center or flu-shot, you can use the Find a Clinic feature for that as well.
In my family, I’m the only one who has an ongoing prescription. But if you are managing prescriptions for several people, the Walgreens mobile app does give the option to refill for family members.
You can also use the vaccination scheduler to make an appointment to go in & get an immunization, saving you time & keeping you healthy!
Whenever I buy anything at Walgreens, including prescriptions, I always make sure to give them my Balance Rewards information. I earn points that can be redeemed for money off of my purchase & those points add up quickly!
I lost my card pretty much the first day I had it so I usually enter my phone number at checkout, but it does take awhile. However, I just discovered the other day that my Balance Rewards card is available through the mobile app! I can pull it right up & have them scan it, saving me time. I can always check how many points I have using the mobile app, too- I love watching my rewards grow!
If you’re thinking about switching to Walgreens, the mobile app allows you to transfer your prescription with just a quick scan. My prescriptions are already at Walgreens so I can’t try it out, but I’ve heard it’s incredibly easy to do. Then, you’ll be able to use the Walgreens mobile app to manage your prescriptions!
Whether you’re looking for a way to manage multiple medications, keep track of the needs of multiple family members, or just trying to juggle the multiple things on your to-do list, be sure to check out the Walgreens mobile app! You can download it for iPhone or Android, and both versions are free.
Do you use Walgreens for your healthcare needs?

we don’t generally fill prescriptions there, but I really like that pill reminder! My daughter could have used it for her penicillin after she got her wisdom teeth removed, we had to remind her CONSTANTLY to take her meds!

I do use Walgreens. I don’t have a smartphone, but love that I can order and check status on line. Before that, I didn’t really like calling and pressing all the prompts on the phone. This is much easier.

I’ve never seen an app offer as many different features for managing your prescriptions as Walgreens. I love how easy it is to stay on top of your refills so you’re never scrambling at the last minute. #client

I wish Walgreens was closer to me but it’s a good 20-35 minutes away. Where I lived before wasn’t far away. I enjoy some of their special sales and I’ll make a trip out there sometimes.
