On Christmas 2020, we finally got to meet Joe Gardner- teacher, jazz musician, and recently {sort of} departed. Disney Pixar’s Soul premiered on Disney+ and since we’d been waiting months to see it, we watched it right away- and we loved it!
About the Movie:
Jamie Foxx leads an all-star cast in this hilarious, heart-filled adventure. Disney and Pixar’s Soul introduces Joe, who lands the gig of his life at the best jazz club in town. But one misstep lands Joe in a fantastical place: The Great Before. There, he teams up with soul 22 (Tina Fey), and together they find the answers to some of life’s biggest questions.
Our Review- Disney Pixar’s Soul
Our whole family loved this movie! We were humming the soundtrack for days after we watched it and since the ending was a bit open-ended {no spoilers here!} it left us discussing the movie for a long time after we first saw it.
The music in the movie is great, and the whole story really gets you to think about what your purpose in life is- and if that really matters, or if living is the purpose! I thought this was a really fresh take on one of the world’s biggest questions.
Also, without spoiling anything for you- the cat is amazing throughout the movie. Just, trust me.
