Earlier this month, we went to see Onward as soon as it came out. We absolutely loved the movie. It was laugh-out-loud funny, it was beautifully done, and of course, it had plenty of emotion. It is Pixar, after all. This was a hit with every member of our family and we are definitely going to be watching this one over and over.
About the movie:
In ONWARD, teenage elf brothers Ian and Barley Lightfoot (voices of Tom Holland and Chris Pratt) get an unexpected opportunity to spend one more day with their late dad, embarking on an extraordinary quest aboard Barley’s epic van Guinevere. Like any good quest, their journey is filled with magic spells, cryptic maps, impossible obstacles and unimaginable discoveries. But when the boys’ fearless mom Laurel (voice of Julia Louis-Dreyfus) realizes her sons are missing, she teams up with a part-lion, part-bat, part-scorpion, former warrior – aka The Manticore (voice of Octavia Spencer) – and heads off to find them. Perilous curses aside, this one magical day could mean more than any of them ever dreamed.
If you haven’t had the chance to check out Disney Pixar’s Onward yet- you’re in luck! Since most theaters are now shut down due to social distancing cocerns, rather than waiting several months like usual, Disney has decided to release Onward on Digital early- in fact, it’s available TODAY!
Starting at 5pm PST today, Onward is available to purchase anywhere you buy your digital movies-including of course, Movies Anywhere. The price is just $19.99, cheaper than taking the whole family to the theater anyway. {And without having to fight over the popcorn.}
And that’s not all! If you have Disney+, it will be launching there on April 3rd! We thought it was super nice when Disney added Frozen 2 three months early {and it was}- but this is just amazing!
