Our family was invited to stay at Great Wolf Lodge to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own.
Last weekend, we went to one of our favorite places- Great Wolf Lodge! This was our 5th trip to the Great Wolf in Anaheim- including three birthdays celebrated there. {Find out why you should celebrate birthdays at Great Wolf Lodge!} Now that we’ve been there so many times, we have certain activities- and places to eat- that we MUST do every time we go. But this time they had something brand new, too- the Summer Camp-In!
All throughout the Lodge, summer is everywhere! From special decorations to special activities, the Summer Camp-In had lots to do for everyone.
When you check in, you’ll get a schedule of events for the day- and night! Special events include making s’mores, playing games, and the one my kids loved the most- decorating rubber duckies and competing in the Ducky 500 Race!
On Sunday morning, we went to the lobby and the boys decorated their own rubber duckies! They got to pick whatever color duck they wanted and there were lots of markers to choose from. Shane turned his into a pirate!
Throughout the weekend, the kids earned badges toward becoming a Pathfinder, Explorer or Trail Blazer- they even each got a badge for their lanyards for decorating their ducks! We only made it to Pathfinder because we spent so much time in the water park, but there were so many fun activities available to earn badges!
On Sunday morning, we watched the Ducky 500 Race and cheered on our ducks! The camp counselors let all the rubber duckies float down the Lazy River and the winner got a cabana for the day! We didn’t win, but the kids were so excited to see their ducks in the river!
Before we left, the kids went to pick up their rubber duckies and played a fun game of bean bag toss! It was a friendly competition and they wanted to play again and again! They got another badge and that’s when they made it to Pathfinder!
There were so many fun ways to enjoy summer at the Summer Camp-In at Great Wolf Lodge! They even had a s’mores kit in the candy shop- and since there are microwaves in the rooms, you could totally make your own s’mores in your room! {If you’d rather not go the DIY route, both classic and specialty s’mores were available for purchase in the lobby in the evening!}
Whether you’ve been to Great Wolf Lodge before and want to try something new or it’s your very first time going, this is the time to book your adventure at Great Wolf Lodge! Youc an find a location near you {or make it a true adventure and go somewhere far!} on their website.
