There are few things I love more than s’mores- but cookies happens to be one of them. So these Sugar Cookie S’mores are the best of both worlds and the perfect treat for summer! They’re easy to make, and the kids love helping me toss the chocolate chips in! You can make them in just a few quick steps, and enjoy as each bite brings back memories of sitting by the campfire.
Sugar Cookie S’mores Bars
Ingredients:
1 tube refrigerated sugar cookie dough (or you can link to an existing sugar cookie recipe on your site that makes between 20-24 cookies)
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
2 cups mini marshmallows
Directions:
1. Line the bottom of a 9×13 inch pan with foil or parchment paper and press dough in a thin, even layer in the bottom.
2. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
3. Add chocolate chips to the top of the dough and place back in the oven for 5 minutes or until chocolate has melted, smoothing with a spoon or offset spatula.
4. Increase oven temperature to 425 degrees and top with marshmallows.
5. Bake for an additional 3-5 minutes or until marshmallows are golden brown. Allow to cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serve warm!
