Go Under the Sea for Playtime with The Little Mermaid Toys & Goodies! #LittleMermaidEvent

You know how you can always tell that a new Disney movie is coming out because there’s an entire display dedicated to the toys for it at every store you go to? I love that, because it allows children to be creative &lets the movie last longer than the 90 minutes that they’re in the theater. I grew up playing with hundreds of little figurines for every movie &of course, playing dress up.

Luckily, some of the classic movies still have several of those products out years after the movie is out of theaters. The Disney Princesses are probably the best example, since there is a new collection coming out all the time for their stuff! {Which totally makes me jealous of those of you who have girls, by the way!} &Now that The Little Mermaid is being released on Diamond Edition on October 1st, there are so many cool new The Little Mermaid products- for kids &grown-ups alike!

I recently went on a trip to the #LittleMermaidEvent in LA with Disney & they gave us a preview of all of the hot new merchandise. Since I never quite outgrew my obsession with all things Princess, some of my favorite goodies were for grown-ups, including a beautiful cosmetics collection available at Sephora and an entire line of t-shirts & accessories available at stores like Hot Topic & Target!

&For those doll lovers, they have plenty! I thought the Disney Animator’s Collection Ariel Doll Deluxe Bathtub Gift Set, which includes the popular toddler Ariel doll &a bubbly seashell tub, terrycloth bath costume, satin nightdress, and Sebastian was adorable! &I know Shane would love the Plush Collection as he takes after his mommy & has a thing for stuffed animals.

Disney sent us home with a few The Little Mermaid goodies, including the Disney Princess Mermaid-to-Princess Ariel, an Ariel wig, a roll-on perfume & an adorable bracelet. We also made our own t-shirts while we were at the event learning about the products & I even won a nail polish kit while I was there! I have to say, I love my perfume, nail polish & t-shirt, but Shane promptly stole my bracelet & claimed it as his own. &He is a huge fan of both his doll & his wig, which he looks hilarious walking around in! I was going to gift it to a friend of his, but he wanted to try it on the second he saw it- he wanted to see what it was like to have lots of hair!

He’s a silly dude, but I can’t blame him for his excitement. The Little Mermaid is pretty amazing- who wouldn’t want to pretend to be Ariel? {Even if it only lasted three seconds before he decided hair wasn’t his thing & tore the wig off.}
