July is National Ice Cream month, which gives me a month-long excuse to give in to my ultimate pregnancy craving! &Recently the people at Mars, makers of my {and likely, your} favorite candies including Snickers, Milky Way, Twix, Dove, M&M’s, and more, decided they wanted to be my BFFs for life & sent me an assortment of pretty much THE best ice cream on the planet.

I’ve always been a fan of the ice cream versions of my favorite candy {it’s the ultimate way to not have to choose between candy & ice cream for dessert} and I was not disappointed with the selections they sent. I was already well acquainted with the Snickers bars, as they’re one of my favorites, but I hadn’t tried the Milky Way or Dove bars & both were so good. The big surprise was the M&M Cookie Sandwich- I was sure it’d be good {cookies, candy, and ice cream?! My favorite kind of triple threat!} and I’d had one before at the movie theater, but it had melted by the time my movie came on {there were a lot of previews}. Having a fresh one right from the box was so different- Shane & I were literally negotiating with each other to get the last one!

In addition to the delicious ice cream, Mars sent me some fun goodies to encourage me to have a family movie night at home! They sent over a blanket for couch snuggling & an adorable bowl for popcorn, as well as one of my favorite movie night snacks- popcorn and M&M’s! {They also sent a generous Restaurant.com gift card but we felt like staying in, so we will use it another day.}

I love having family movie nights- Justin, Shane &I are all total movie people- and having a delicious excuse to hold one was great! &Even better? The movie was free!   156. I do love all Mars candy- but if I had to choose a favorite it would be Milky Way, especially the dark chocolate Milky Way.
