Shane is at that great age where he likes all toys, whether they’re “boy” or “girl” toys. That makes me happy because it allows me to play with some girl toys, which are way more in my element than the boy stuff is. I was particularly excited when Shane asked for the Disney Princess Cinderella’s Transforming Pumpkin Carriage by Mattel for Christmas! I grew up obsessed with all of the Princesses & had all of the Barbies for them but I didn’t have a cool carriage like this one so I admit, I wanted to play with it too!
I love this carriage because it isn’t just a carriage, it is a pumpkin, too! It allows you to act out more of the story, and it’s fun & easy to transform it from a pumpkin to a carriage & back again!
To make the carriage a pumpkin, pull the cover down over the carriage & push the wheels down until you can see the leaves.
To make the pumpkin a carriage, first lift it off of the wheels so that they pop back up as shown above.
Then, pull the cord, allowing the pumpkin cover to be pulled inside the top of the carriage.
Ta-da! Cinderella’s ready to ride in style.
The horse is ready to get to work! {By the way, this is a really nice sturdy horse that would be fun to use with or without the carriage.}
Cinderella is headed to the ball! {Doll not included}
My thoughts: This carriage is very well made & great for promoting imaginative play! While I know that Shane is going to love playing with the carriage as intended, I can also see him using this for transporting some of his other guys. &I know that horse is going to become a favorite!
Buy It: You can find the Disney Princess Cinderella’s Transforming Pumpkin Carriage at various major retailers & online {including on Mattel’s website} for the MSRP of $49.99 {Hint: It’s on sale on Amazon for just $26.98!} &Don’t forget to buy a Cinderella Doll to go with it!
Note: I received the carriage {but bought my own doll} to facilitate this review. All experiences are authentic & all opinions are my own.

Ok, that is REALLY cool!! My boys won’t play with “girl” toys, but I’d love to see something like this in a boy-ish theme.
I might just have to order from Amazon for my niece’s birthday!

I would have loved to have that when I was younger, I was a Cinderella nut!

Oh wow that is so neat! I haven’t seen that before. I love that you can use it to act out the whole story. As a little girl I had a Beast (from Beauty and the Beast) that had a beast head that went on and off so he could become the prince for acting out the story, but this is even better!

I totally had that Beast doll too!!

What a cute toy and I seriously love that you let your son have imaginative play without judgement.
