Free Del Taco Wednesdays in May!

I first discovered Del Taco when I was in high school.  My friends & I would often leave campus {don’t tell my teachers} & head down the street where we could get the most amazing chicken soft tacos for less than $1 each. The food was way better & way cheaper than anything in the cafeteria so the Del Taco runs became a pretty regular thing.

Del Taco Grilled Chicken Taco

In the years since then, those chicken soft tacos have changed their name to Grilled Chicken Tacos, but they still taste the same & are still insanely good. Del Taco is always adding new tastes to their menu, and they are still as inexpensive as when I was in high school- in fact, they now have even more for less!

Del Taco Buck & Under Menu

Del Taco’s new Buck & Under menu features a variety of tacos, burritos and drinks- totaling 11 items for 50¢, 75¢ and $1. This includes a Mini Cheddar, Mini Bacon Quesadilla and a Crunchy Chipotle Beef Taco, which are all new products, as well as classics like the Value Bean & Cheese Burrito, Jacked Up Value Bean, Rice & Cheese Burrito, Grilled Chicken Taco, ½-Pound Bean & Cheese Burrito, Double Beef Classic Taco, Strawberry Lemonade with real strawberry slices and Medium Size Brewed Iced Tea.

Fun Outdoor Activities for Preschoolers {&Giveaway!}

Spring is here, and before it gets too hot we’ve been spending lots of time outside. Whether he hit the park or just play in our yard, we’ve been trying to get back on track with getting outside &attempting to soak up as much sunshine as possible.

We live in the middle of a city, so we don’t have a giant backyard. It’s big enough for a few trees & a deck, but we would have to remove the trees to fit a swingset, and we can’t fit any other fun stuff like a trampoline or bounce house. So we get creative & play with smaller toys. Here are some of our favorites:

Fun Outdoor Activities for Preschoolers from @NotQuiteSusie

1. Chalk. Sometimes we just draw scribbles, but usually we use the chalk to work on phonics. Shane has been learning to draw some things and even make a few letters!

2. Hopscotch. Okay, so this game uses chalk too, but it’s a whole separate activity & so much fun! While we draw the board & while he hops, Shane helps me count the squares. &It’s a good tool for fine-tuning gross motor skills too!

3. Bean bags. Shane is perfectly happy just throwing bean bags on the ground & running to pick them up, but we also play “The Color Game”. I put one different-colored bean bag on each cement square on our driveway, and then when I yell a color Shane runs to that square.

4. Throw & Catch. We have various tools to use for throwing and catching- a tennis racket & ball, two water rackets & a squishy ball, big plastic balls… if you can throw it without hurting the other person, we play with it. Shane is getting to be really good at throwing- and it lets him get all his throwing out so he doesn’t want to throw his inside toys as much.

5. Jumprope. Shane’s too short to use it by himself, but when Daddy & I each hold an end, he can actually jump over it {sometimes}! Even when he doesn’t succeed, he has fun trying- and as an added bonus, all that jumping tires him out.

Playing Hopscotch

As you can guess, Shane has a lot of energy. Some days I need some help to keep up {and some days I just want something yummy!} so I make myself a cup of coffee. People always make fun of me & joke that I really make a cup of Coffee-mate since I take my coffee white, but I can’t help it because it’s just so good.

Our New Bedding Set from Anna’s Linens!

Note: I was given a gift card to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own.

When Justin & I first moved in together, we had nothing that makes a house a home. We were both moving straight from our parents’ houses & so we had no furniture beyond a bedroom set, and certainly none of the other stuff like curtains, bathroom coordinates or even pillows. My mother-in-law & I went to Anna’s Linens because we saw commercials all the time for their low prices on home items. They had everything and the prices were so low that together we completely stocked our house with items from Anna’s Linens. From the toothbrush holders in the bathrooms to the sheets on our guest bed, almost everything came from there.

Before we had bedding

Justin & I have been looking for a new bedding set for almost a year now. Bella Notte claimed our old comforter as her own, and she also managed to rip the only fitted sheet that actually accommodated our extra-tall mattress. We’ve been using a fitted sheet that isn’t long enough on the sides & has to be re-tucked in every night, and instead of a comforter, Justin’s been using a top sheet, and I’ve been using a throw blanket. We’ve been wanting to just get a complete, nice set, but we just couldn’t find anything we liked. We didn’t even mind spending a bit more & even checked out some of the more expensive places- but we’re picky & nothing really stuck out.

Great Deals at Anna's Linens!

So when I was invited to go to Anna’s Linens to see what great deals they had in store, I knew it’d be a great place to look for a bedding set! &The fact that the prices are super low adds a lot of awesome into the mix. When we got to Anna’s Linens, we noticed that there were a lot of really great deals. They had curtains for just $14.99 {compare at $25}, really cute bathroom coordinates for kids {Shane wanted the monkey set SO bad but already has a set} for prices starting at $5.99 {compare at $16 and up} and complete 10-piece bedding ensembles for $49.99.

Cute bedding set

I love a great deal as much as the next girl, but what I really love about Anna’s Linens is their selection. They have a lot of really cute stuff- and they had six or seven aisles of bedding, so they definitely had a lot to choose from. &The best news is that we finally found something we both liked! The set we picked out includes a comforter, 2 pillow shams & a dust ruffle. We still need to pick up some new sheets, and Anna’s had some great ones, but we just decided to wait until we got the set home & set up on our bed so that we could decide what color of sheets to go with.

Blue, white and brown bedding set

In the meantime, we finally have a comforter & I’m so excited about the dust ruffle because that means I can finally shove stuff store stuff under the bed! &The whole set was only $35- way cheaper than anything we’d been looking at. Since we were saving so much on the bedding, we even got a few new towels!

Cute Home Decor Items from Anna's Linens

If you’ve been at Anna’s Linens before, you’ll want to go back now because they have a lot of great Spring & Summer items, including giant beach towels for just $3.99. &If you’ve never been to Anna’s Linens, be sure to check them out! They have a huge selection & everything is at a great price. Use the store locator to find a store near you & get shopping! {&Be sure to check them out on Pinterest for great home décor & entertaining ideas!}

Gymboree Play & Music Coupon for Las Vegas Locals!

When Shane was 10 months old, we bought a house. One of the first things that I did was check out what baby/toddler activities were nearby. I found that there was a Gymboree Play & Music nearby so I scheduled a preview class just to see what it was all about. We instantly fell in love with the program and Shane took classes there for a long time. In fact, that’s where we met the other kiddos in Shane’s playgroup that we still meet up with every week!
