Luigi’s Mansion has been a favorite series in my house for awhile- Shane had Luigi’s Mansion 2 on his 3DS years ago and Zac has been a huge fan of Luigi’s Mansion 3 since it came out a few years ago. Of course, there’s also the Luigi’s Mansion inspired challenge course in Mario Kart 8- that is NOT an easy one for Shine Thief!
Luigi’s Mansion 2 just got a big upgrade and came over to Nintendo Switch for the first time, and I was so excited to check it out! Whether you’re revesting the game like we were or discovering it for the first time, this game is a lot of fun for everyone.

About the Game:
In Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD, our favorite green-clad hero takes on a ghostly adventure across multiple haunted mansions in Evershade Valley. After the Dark Moon, a magical object that keeps ghosts friendly, is shattered, the once-peaceful spirits turn mischievous—and sometimes downright hostile. With his Poltergust 5000 in hand, Luigi teams up with Professor E. Gadd to track down the missing pieces and restore peace to the valley.

My Thoughts
I already knew I’d like the game since I’d dabbled in it before and liked it, but man is it so much better {for me, anyway} on Nintendo Switch. The graphics are definitely enhanced and they look great, with bright colors and much sharper details- it really adds to the atmosphere and vibe of the game! The controls are a lot easier to use too, which was especially helpful when using the Poltergust.
The gameplay itself is really fun, and is super easy to play in small chunks when you have time which is helpful for busy parents or anyone who wants to sneak a little game time in wherever they can. The ghost designs are fun- not too scary for littles- and there are so many different puzzles and challenges that it doesn’t get repetitive.
Whether you’ve played this game before on 3DS or are brand new to this series, you’ll have a lot of fun navigating this mansion!
