Every night at dinner, we have a family discussion. We each share something good that happened to us that day, and we also have a table topic for discussion.
In the past, we’ve used the actual Table Topics cards- which are absolutely fantastic and I highly recommend. {We’ve used the Family edition and Kids To-Go edition which is great for travel.} But those cards add up and even though one pack lasts quite some time, when we finished our last pack we decided to take a break from buying new cards and came up with our own topics.
If you have a Question of the Day with your kids- or you want to start the tradition- I’ve included our list below of 100 Conversation Starters for Families, broken down by topic.
If you just use one each day, you’ll have over 3 months’ worth of questions here! Most of these questions are pretty open-ended so that they encourage a deeper discussion. You might be surprised at what you learn about your kids!
