If you follow along here, you know my family loves water parks. So it was crazy that we hadn’t been to Wet’n’Wild here in Vegas! I hadn’t been there yet, so I wasn’t sure if Zac was old enough to enjoy the water park until now- but I knew that this was definitely the summer that we needed to try it out. So when Wet’n’Wild Las Vegas invited me to come check it out with my family, I was excited to take them up on it!
We went last weekend and it far exceeded my expectations! The water park was huge- not just in the amount of things to do, but in the amount of space it took up. It was great because it didn’t feel crowded, even on a busy Sunday, because there was SO much space to walk around.
There were so many fun things to do- we spent hours there and didn’t even do it all. They have 25 water slides so we knew we had to check those out, but the kids always want to do the wave pool and the lazy river at any water park. We LOVED the ones at Wet’n’Wild! The Red Rock Bay Wave Pool was huge and started out nice and shallow, which meant the kids could just walk around and splash around before going in for a real swim in the waves.
And we LOVED the Colorado Cooler Lazy River! Sometimes lazy rivers can be anything but lazy- when they’re too small or too crowded, they become a lot of work. But the one at Wet’n’Wild was huge- it went around the whole park and was really wide, so there was plenty of room for floats and we didn’t have any crowding issues. We went in it several times- Zac couldn’t get enough!
We didn’t laze the whole day, though- we had to check out the water slides! The boys did some of the smaller ones, and then we all tried one of the big ones, Constrictor– it was pitch black and such a unique experience! We didn’t expect it to be dark and it was SO much fun!
Justin, Shane, and Justin’s Dad went and did another water slide, the Hoover Half Pipe, and they loved that one too. Shane was done with big water slides after that though so Justin and his Dad went to do Canyon Cliffs, which they said was super intense, and the Desert Racers Mat Race, which they loved.
Shane and Zac both absolutely loved Paradise Falls, the really fun- and really huge- play structure with lots of water slides attached! They loved exploring the whole area, including walking over some net bridges, and then going down all the different slides! And Zac particularly loved the water feature that he learned how to spray on everyone- he thought it was hilarious! {Confession: it was!}
While we were there, they had a really fun event- a Family Foam Party! They had a special area set up with bubble foam everywhere, and the kids and I got into a foam battle. It was so much fun! They did those every Sunday in June and it looks like they’ll be continuing for most Sundays in July as well. They also have Dive-In Movies and DJ Sessions on Saturdays! {Be sure to always check the events page on the website to see what you can expect during your visit.}
I loved that Wet’n’Wild had something for every member of our family. Whether we wanted to relax in the Colorado Cooler lazy river or ride down intense rides like Constrictor, we had plenty of options. I wish I would have known how little-kid friendly it was there- we could have gone the last few summers, too! Now that we know, Wet’n’Wild will be a summertime staple for our family.
