When it comes to baking, my go-to is definitely cupcakes. They’re easy, they’re quick, and you can decorate them about a million different ways. Even better- if you mess one up, you can just put it aside {of course by put it aside I mean eat it} and share the best of the bunch with your loved ones.
Below is a super cute yet super easy way to decorate cupcakes for Easter! {I also included a basic cupcake recipe that is delicious, but you can definitely use a box mix!}
Ingredients:
12 White Cupcakes
White frosting, any brand
Yellow food coloring
Wilton yellow sugar crystals
Wilton orange gel icing
Wilton yellow gel icing
Candy eyes
Directions:
1. Generously frost each cupcake and set aside.
2. Dip each frosted cupcake into the yellow sugar crystals
3. Give each chick cupcake 2 eyes
4. Use the Wilton orange gel to make a small triangle for the chick’s nose and then use the gel to make an upside down V for his feet – add a small line of icing in the middle and there you have it – feet!
5. Finally use the Wilton yellow icing to make a V shape for the chick’s wing – do the same with the wing and make a small line in the middle.
6. Sprinkle with the extra yellow sugar crystals.
Voila! Cute and easy!

Thery’re adorable, almost too cute to eat. My favorite thing to bake is brownies, which I don’t frost. They’re easy, almost foolproof, and everyone likes them.

oh oh, I don’t care Easter is over, these are soooooo cute – the best cupcakes I’ve ever seen decorated and so easy, really!!! I don’t have to be Martha! I’ve had real baby chicks and I like telling stories about chicks, so I know how fun it can be to have even pretend ones! Must make these soon!
