I participated in an Influencer Program on behalf of Mom Central for Revolution Foods. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for participating. #MC
Shane, like most 4 year olds, is a pretty picky eater. He doesn’t like to try new things, and he can’t get enough of the things he does like. If he could have his way, he’d eat chicken nuggets and lunch kits for three square meals a day.
While I believe that everything is okay in moderation, he’s not a fan of moderation. So I was thrilled to find out about Revolution Foods Meal Kits, the healthier alternative to lunch kits! With at least 7 grams of whole grains and a serving of fruit in every box {but no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives}, they are something that I can feel good about giving to Shane.
I went to my local Safeway affiliate store (Vons) and picked up a few boxes. The kits are available in Turkey & Cheddar, Ham & Cheddar, Cheese Pizza, and Peanut Butter and Jelly, but our store didn’t have the PB&J variety. Shane wasn’t interested in the pizza one, but that was always my favorite growing up so I picked one up for myself! Shane wanted both the turkey and ham and as soon as we got home he asked to have one for dinner!
Each kit included individually wrapped food items- in the case of Shane’s, they had either turkey or ham along with cheddar cheese, whole grain crackers and a fruit strip, which is made of real fruit and is actually a serving of fruit! The kits use meats that were humanely raised {a big deal to us} and there are no nitrites or nitrates either.
These kits are perfect for lunch on the go, a quick meal on a busy day, or as a healthier alternative for kids who just can’t get enough of them! You can find them at your local Safeway or Safeway affiliate store. You can find out more on their website or Facebook page, or if you’re ready to try them out you can download a coupon for $1 off a meal kit!
What flavor would your kids want to try?

OMG ~ my son has been a picky eater his entire life!! I can remember at one point when he was a toddler he would eat nothing, I mean absolutely nothing but green beans for about a week. It was awful. I think these are wonderful and sure wish I had them when he was young!
