This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Success® Rice. All opinions are my own.
Almost every week, I sit down & make a meal plan for the coming week. I always ask for input from Justin, but he always just tells me to make whatever I want. He’s not a picky eater, so he knows he’ll like whatever I choose, so he gives me the freedom to be adventurous. However, even though he never gives me requests, he does have a tendency to ask me later on why I never make some things.
One of those things is rice. I do actually make rice pretty often, but he grew up in Hawaii where, as he tells me, there’s a rice cooker constantly on in every household. I know he loves it & my intentions are good- I put rice on the meal plan at least once a week. But I almost always time it wrong when I’m actually making dinner. Either I forget to make it until the rest of dinner is just moments away from being served, or I remember but decide to hold off a few minutes so it’s not done before dinner is ready- and then forget.
Success Rice makes it easy for me to actually make the rice perfectly & with very little effort- or concern for time. There’s no measuring or stirring & it is ready on it’s own in under 10 minutes {great for those nights that I totally space on it until the end}- and the white & brown rice can sit for up to 30 minutes before being served {so I can start it right when I start the rest of dinner without worrying}.
I made an easy stir fry for dinner & everyone loved it! It was so simple to make & of course I had to put it over a bed of rice because that just makes stir fry so much better!
Ingredients:
-1 bag Success Brown Rice
-1 tbsp olive oil
-1 lb. boneless skinless chicken tenders
-1/4 tsp. garlic powder
-2 cups broccoli florets
-1/2 cup cashew halves & pieces
-1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
Directions:
-Pour 1 qt. of water into medium saucepan & submerge Success Rice. Boil 8-10 minutes.
-Drizzle olive oil over large skillet & warm over high heat.
-Cook chicken tenders until done, about 5-8 minutes.
-Sprinkle with garlic powder, and add in broccoli florets & cashews. Stir all ingredients.
-Mix in teriyaki sauce & heat on low for 5 minutes.
-Remove bag of Success Rice with fork & drain.
-Serve stir fry over bed of Success Brown Rice.
As you can see, it’s a pretty basic stir fry recipe that is super delicious & a nice, quick meal. Using Success Rice helped me with my timing & made it easy to incorporate Justin’s favorite side dish into the meal. Now that I’ve discovered this brand, I get the feeling we’ll be enjoying rice a lot more often. We don’t even need to get a rice cooker- I can just boil it in the bag!

Well, we need to start eating it more. We trying to avoid several foods to see if we can pinpoint which ones my daughter might be allergic to. I’ve never used cashews in my teriyaki chicken but I’ll have to see how much better it can make the meal!
