Living in Las Vegas, I’ve been to a lot of hotels. I’ve stayed in some, gone to parties at some, and visited family staying at some, and each one has had it’s own unique qualities. When I go out of town, I always try to find a new hotel to stay at because it’s always so fun to discover new places. Last week, I spent the night at the most beautiful hotel I’ve ever been to in my life, the Langham Huntington in Pasadena!

With it’s gorgeous scenery, quiet location, award-winning spa services and new doggie services, it’s no wonder that Disney chose the Langham Pasadena to shoot their new movie, Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3: Viva La Fiesta!
Last week, I joined several other bloggers {and some of their pups!} for an event to celebrate the new movie as well as the Langham’s new doggie services. While we were there, we relaxed at the hotel, enjoyed their fine dining and saw some of their new special features that are focused around the furriest members of our families!
Upon arriving at the Langham, I was amazed at it’s sheer size. The hotel sits on 23 acres & includes more than 50,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space that can host groups from 10 to 1,400! If this hotel was in Vegas, I’d be having my wedding there- seriously.
As soon as I followed the map to my room {which took a second, because the place is huge, and I’m not so great with maps}, I found a yummy welcome gift in my room waiting for me. The music on the radio was also turned on to a soothing jazz station, so I sat for a minute and tried to unwind from my hectic hours of traveling! {Side note: If you’re flying in to stay at the Langham- fly into the Burbank Airport. It’s 10 miles closer, and you won’t spend 90 minutes in rush hour traffic on the freeway like I did!}
Even though it’s an older hotel, they have all of the modern amenities, including Wi-Fi & an alarm clock that doubles as an iPhone dock! Sometimes, it’s the little things that impress me the most.
My room had a sitting area as well with a really comfy chair, along with a table that held a coffee maker and, of course, some coffee. I actually checked out a few of the other bloggers’ rooms and of the five that I saw, no two were the same! They all had the chair, the bed and the table, but the rooms were all shaped differently and the furniture was moved around in all different combinations. It was fun because you could stay there twice and have a whole new room!
When it was finally time to head to bed, I was SO excited. I usually share a queen sized bed with Justin, Shane, and Bella- so having a whole King bed to myself was amazing! {Even though I woke up at the edge of the bed as if I was still at home- old habits die hard, I suppose!}
The next day, we had breakfast in one of their many beautiful meeting rooms and then caught a screening of the new movie {look for that review next week}! After a Q&A with the filmmakers and trainers, we grabbed some lunch outside and it was beautiful. I’m from the desert obviously, so I’m not used to seeing so many trees and such green grass. It truly looked like something out of a movie- and it is, since it’s in movies- but even just standing there “in real life” I felt like I was watching a movie. It was gorgeous!
After lunch, the bloggers who brought their pups were able to treat them to doggie massages, a new service offered by the hotel. Dogs get a lot of the same benefits as people from massage, including a reduction in stress and anxiety, help with digestion, a strengthened immune system, and better blood circulation, joint flexibility, and range of motion. &They really enjoy it! The pups I watched getting massages all sat perfectly still and enjoyed every last second of it.
The Langham just launched their new Doggie Program, too! While they’ve always been a pet-friendly hotel, they have been working hard to make sure that your pup enjoys their stay as much as you do. For $135, you can upgrade your hotel room to include the Doggie Program, which includes use of a Langham pink porcelain pet bowl, gold mat and plush pink bed pillow, a bag of gourmet doggie treats, a doggie door hanger, and The Langham Doggie Newsletter, which includes a list of dog-friendly parks, restaurants and more around the hotel. It also includes the spa menu, highlights of which include massages {with many different kinds to choose from}, a cold stone massage, yoga ball exercise, paw care, aromatherapy, and a nice walk. {The $135 also includes the deep cleaning fee for the room.}
If that’s not enough, you can get the Distinguished Doggie Package, which includes all of the aforementioned services as well as one Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3: Viva La Fiesta! plush toy and a “Bow Wow Breakfast” for your dog. Breakfast options include:
The Bowser Burger
All-beef burger meat served with raw carrots and snap peas
Chow Down Chicken Breast
Grilled free range chicken breast served with a side of rice
Scrappy’s Steak n’ Eggs
Petite filet mignon, served with two scrambled eggs
The Doggie Diet: Crunchy Crudité
Raw carrots, snap peas, green beans and sliced apples
The menu also includes some side dishes, treats, and pre-packaged food for the less adventurous pooches!
The Langham is a great choice whether you’re visiting with your family, are there on business or just need a bit of “me time”. I just wish I could move in like the pups in the movie!
Note: Disney & Click Communications hosted this event, for which my accommodations were provided. All experiences are authentic & all opinions are my own.
