Alright, I suppose now that I’ve been blogging for months, I should probably tell you a bit about myself, eh?

I’m Shell, but you can call me Susie if it makes it easier. I’m 22 and I live in Las Vegas with my one-year old son, Shane, three year old fur baby, Bella, and my Hubby, who is the epitome of my “high school sweetheart” as we’ve been dating since my freshman year of high school (over 6 years ago).

I teach a class once a week to 10-16 month olds, but my full time job is “domestic engineer”. Or, if you prefer, stay-at-home mom. I love it and it has always been a dream of mine. My parents both worked when I was young and I have always wanted to make sure to be around all the time for my child(ren). I just wish Hubby didn’t have to work so hard to make it happen, but honestly? He’s a hard worker; he’d be doing it anyway.

I have been blogging at {Not Quite} Susie Homemaker since January 2010. In the year since then, this blog has evolved very much and I am excited to see where it will go. I love doing product reviews and the like, but mainly, I blog because it’s fun. &Because when I blog, I can have deep, meaningful conversations with my friends- in my {mildly inappropriate} pajamas.

Other things you should know about me:

  • I cosleep. &I can’t imagine it any other way.
  • When I was a kid, I wanted to be a Spice Girl when I grew up. Let’s just say some dreams never die.
  • I don’t eat pork, beef, seafood, or green beans. Not for any particular reason- well, except green beans; that one is just because they’re disgusting.
  • Like my Gen Y peers, I have never known a world without cell phones, computers & text messaging. &I am thankful for that.
  • I will not discuss politics or religion on this blog. EVER. Let’s just say, my beliefs are: To each his own.
  • I am allergic to avocado. But guacamole is amazing, so I deal with having a swollen throat once in awhile.
  • I was in a sorority for the first three years of my college “career” (before I got knocked up)- it was one of the best experiences of my life pre-motherhood &it made me who I am today.
  • So did my Hubby. We met when I was 15, depressed, and stupid. He changed my life, and for that I am eternally grateful.
  • This has come up in my blog before, but it’s important to truly understand me: I have OCD, generalized anxiety disorder, major depressive disorder, panic disorder, and social phobia. &One (thus far) chronic condition that I do not like to discuss, but that is not life-threatening. Just annoying.
  • I think LOLcats are the cat’s pajamas. Ha! Get it? But seriously.
