With Autumn just around the corner, I’m looking forward to getting outside more. Summer is often thought of as the season for playing outside but when it’s over 110 degrees outside, you tend to hide out and wait for Fall.
One of the things I’m most looking forward to doing is walking. Shane & I loved going for walks before summer hit, and I know he’s going to love starting up again. My goal for this year is to not just take leisurely walks- I want to start jogging! I’m definitely not in fighting shape for it right this moment, but I’m planning on starting out slow- first by walking slowly with Shane, then by walking more briskly while pushing him in a stroller, and then, hopefully I’ll be able to really jog by the end of the year.
I’ve got a great new tool that will help me with my goal: the new J is for Jeep Wrangler Sport Jogger! It is perfect for walking or jogging, so I can take Shane along with me still, even if I plan on going faster than his little legs can handle. &The stroller has SO many great features that will make it so much easier to enjoy our time outside together!
This stroller has something called the iBaby system- it easily connects to your phone or MP3 player and allows you to play music for everyone to enjoy! I love listening to music while I work out but I don’t want to use headphones if I’ve got Shane in tow in case he needs me, so I love this!
Not only does the stroller come with a cup holder for storing your water bottle- it comes with two cup holders for Mom & even one for your kiddo! We never leave the house without water so I appreciate that I won’t have to fight Shane for the cup holder!
In addition to a cup holder, the seat also has two pockets for storage. When I go on longer walks & jogs, I know Shane will probably get bored. I love that I can let him take a couple of toys {or even a game system} along for the ride and that he can access them & put them away himself without making me stop to reach underneath in the storage area.
Speaking of the storage area- it’s huge! You could really hold a lot under there- I’m very impressed by the amount of storage space. You can even access it from the front or back of the stroller, allowing you to fill it up & not have to dig through it to get what you need.
A more simple feature that I’m in love with is the brake. The stroller I’ve always used {also Jeep} has standard brakes- where there’s a tiny lever on either side that you have to step on or lift up to use. I always have issues with it though because I’m either wearing flip flops, in which case it hurts to use my toes to lift it up so I have to reach down & touch the dirty brakes with my hand, or I’m wearing gym shoes that are larger and it makes it hard to hit the tiny lever. This brake takes care of both issues- it’s bigger and easy to maneuver, and it’s smooth metal instead of jagged plastic so it doesn’t hurt to lift up with your toes- even with open-toed shoes.
The tires on the stroller are real, air-filled tires. I like this because if I get a flat I can just patch it if needed & repair it with air instead of replacing the whole wheel. It also makes jogging more comfortable & makes the ride smoother on uneven surfaces.
{Don’t worry, we didn’t leave the driveway or else he’d have his seatbelt on!}
One of my favorite things is that the weight limit is 60 lbs. Shane is still under 40 lbs. and while he’s tall, the seat is very adjustable. He’ll be able to ride in this one long after he’s outgrown his regular stroller!
The stroller is easy to store, too- it has what’s called a “Free-Stand” design, meaning that it stands upright when it’s folded and doesn’t have to be leaned against anything.
Other fun features:
-Compatible with many infant car seats with no adapter required, including Baby Trend, Britax, Chicco, Cosco, Graco, Peg Perego and Safety 1st.
-Forward-locking front wheel allows added stability while jogging but can be allowed to swivel for everyday use
-It has a tether {that string hanging down in my pictures} and a 5-point harness for added safety.
-The handle adjusts to multiple heights- perfect for me, since I’m very short.
This stroller is great for many uses and I love that it is going to allow me to spend some quality time with my son. Whether you’re a seasoned jogger, a beginner like me or just the mom of an older kid who needs a bigger stroller, you’ve found it in the J is for Jeep stroller!
