Like many people my age, I grew up watching Blue’s Clues. Then when I had my own kids, they watched it too- Shane’s 1st birthday party was even Blue’s Clues themed!
Even though my kids are older now, we were all so excited when Blue’s Clues came back with the reboot Blue’s Clues & You! And when we found out Blue was finally getting her own movie? We were thrilled!
About the movie:
Blue’s Big City Adventure follows Josh (Josh Dela Cruz), who gets the opportunity of a lifetime to audition for Rainbow Puppy’s (Brianna Bryan) Broadway musical, and Blue (Traci Paige Johnson) as they skidoo to New York City where they meet new friends and discover the magic of music, dance and following one’s dreams. The entire “Blue’s Clues” crew is reunited for this special movie event, with the beloved animated friends and all three hosts – Josh, Steve (Steve Burns) and Joe (Donovan Patton) – together for the first time in the Big Apple.
We watched Blue’s Big City Adventure on Paramount+ over Thanksgiving break and it was so nostalgic and so much fun for all of us. I loved that it was great for the whole family- it had all three Blue’s Clues hosts, making it a true love letter to every generation of Blue’s Clues fan. It’s clear through their chemistry in the movie that the hosts are all friends in real life {it just makes my inner child so happy every time I see them post something together online!} and I appreciated the callbacks to things from the original show.
Even if you’re new to Blue’s Clues, if you have little kids this would be a great movie for them. It’s bright and fun with lots of great music and tons of engagement. I know that if my kids were still preschool age, this movie would be on repeat at our house!
You can watch Blue’s Big City Adventure right now streaming on Paramount+! {Affiliate link: Don’t have Paramount+? You can sign up for a free trial here!}
