I was hosted as a guest of the Cambria Hotel & Suites Anaheim Resort but all opinions are my own. This post contains affiliate links.
A trip to Anaheim to visit Disneyland is always magical, but there are so many things to consider. One of the biggest challenges when it comes to booking your Disneyland vacation? Choosing a hotel!
There are so many great hotels in the area, and you can always get a great price on any of them when you book through Get Away Today– but they all have different things that make them great. A hotel that’s great for a couple might not work for a family, and a hotel within walking distance is less important for someone who drove to Anaheim. So how do you decide which hotel to book?
Well, I was able to check out quite a few hotels on a recent stay in Anaheim {check out all of the hotels I toured here} but one of the hotels that stood out to me the most was the Cambria Hotel & Suites Anaheim. It has so much going for it- location, price, atmosphere, and so much more- and is the perfect hotel for any family looking to book a Disneyland trip.
I could go on all day about why the Cambria Hotel & Suites Anaheim is great for families but here are my top four reasons!
There is SO much room to spread out!
Whether you’re stretching out in the living room or piling the kids into the triple bunk bed, the rooms are super spacious and every inch is well used! There are even two separate showers {one with a bath tub} so getting everyone showered at the end of a long day at the parks doesn’t have to take hours.
The room type I stayed in included a nice big King sized bed along with a trundle bunk bed, which means that drawer under the bottom bunk also pulls out into a bed!
This living space is separate from the bedroom and even has a door that can separate it, just in case the adults want to stay up watching TV or playing games for a little while after the kids are in bed. This living space is connected to the huge kitchen area and doesn’t even show the dining table {fits 2}.
Location, Location, Location!
The Cambria Hotel & Suites Anaheim is close enough to Disneyland that you can see it out the window- and watch the fireworks every night- but not so close that it’s noisy or crowded.
Being a few minutes further away from Disneyland also means it’s a lot cheaper than the hotels that are within walking distance! Just make sure you allot yourself a few extra minutes to take the ART shuttle or an Uber/Lyft to the Parks if you don’t have a car with you.
I was able to see many of the classic Disneyland rides from my hotel room, including the Matterhorn and Space Mountain. I even watched the fireworks from my hotel room!
There’s so much to do on site!
Park tickets can get expensive- and kids can get TIRED walking around every day. Whether you’re taking a break to unwind in the afternoon or just trying to enjoy a day without walking 20,000 steps, you’ll find plenty to do without even leaving the hotel!
The hotel has it’s own 30,000 sq. ft. water park which includes a pool- and they even have movie nights poolside! When I was there, they were getting ready to show some spooky favorites as it was the first weekend of the Halloween celebration at Disneyland.
Just outside the hotel doors- but still in the same parking lot- are several delicious restaurants as well. Save money compared to eating in the parks and grab a meal or two at The Habit or Jersey Mike’s, or grab your coffee from their Starbucks before you hit Main Street. You can even end the night on a sweet note with YogurtLand!
A great experience at a great price
I briefly mentioned this but you really get a LOT for your money at the Cambria Hotel & Suites Anaheim. A room like this closer to the parks would be several hundred dollars more, and it’s only a few minutes away. I was shocked when I heard how affordable these rooms are- in a great way.
If you’re looking into a vacation to Anaheim, I highly recommend looking for a booking at the Cambria! You can click here to check them out on Get Away Today– booking through this link gives you exclusive perks like free waterpark access, $10 off parking per night and a free hot breakfast!
