This post is brought to you by Sprouts. All opinions are my own.
When possible, I love shopping for in-season produce. It’s such a great way to switch things up and keep dinner- and every other meal- entertaining without making the same recipes over and over.
Each season has it’s own shining star in the produce aisle, but winter just may be my favorite because it’s winter citrus season! Citrus fruits like blood oranges, clementines, grapefruits, lemons, mandarins and of course, oranges are in season right now and are the freshest that they’ll be all year. I love finding new ways to use them all the time since winter citrus is the one kind of produce that my whole family actually likes!
The absolute best place to buy winter citrus is at Sprouts, where they have a huge variety of fruits- including some that you don’t often find at other stores. Admittedly I had never even heard of Blood Raspberry Oranges until I found them at my local Sprout’s, and now they’re one of my favorite fruits!
Sprouts had everything I needed to make this delicious salad- which for the record my husband said was in his top 5 salads of all time {and he’s had a lot of salads}. Sprouts has tons of fresh winter citrus {so you can customize this recipe with your favorites if you’d prefer!} and their bulk department is loaded with everything else you’ll need.
