The other day I made one of our favorite recipes, Baked Chicken Parmesan! It’s so easy to make and even the kids love it, which saves me the nightly headache of having to convince them to take “just one more bite”.
While I don’t have to worry about getting my kids to eat dinner when I make this, there’s one thing that is still a hassle about making this dish- the clean up. First of all, it creates quite a few dishes- but most of them just go right into the dishwasher, so it’s not that bad. However, even if I clean the casserole dish as soon as it’s cool enough, there’s always cheese crusted onto the side already! Within just a few minutes, it can harden to the point where my usual dish cloth can’t cut it and I end up using my nail or a knife to scrape it off.
Luckily, I found a dish cloth that can handle the mess! The new Scotch-Brite® Scrubbing Dish Cloth adds scrubbing power to my dish cloth so that I can save my manicure a little longer. One side of the Scotch-Brite Scrubbing Dish Cloth is a high quality dish cloth and the other side has Scotch-Brite scrubbing dots that make it easier to clean tough or stuck-on messes. And don’t worry- even though the dish cloths have amazing scrubbing power, they’re non-scratch! I was able to clean the baked-on cheese off of my nicest dish without worrying about damaging it. Oh, and it’s fully washable and reusable, which is something I definitely look for in a dish cloth.

While I was upgrading my kitchen sink with some new dish cloths, I decided to upgrade my dish soap dispenser as well. Inspired by summer and my love of all things beachy, I made this DIY Beach Soap Dispenser!
DIY Beach Soap Dispenser
You Will Need:
Glass jar
Drill
Soap dispenser pump
Decorative fish netting
Assorted sea shells & starfish
Hot glue gun & glue sticks
Directions:
1. Determine how big your soap dispenser pump is at the widest part- not counting the part that stays above the jar. Mark it on the center of the jar lid.
2. Very carefully drill the hole in the lid. {I let my husband take over this part since power tools terrify me.}
3. Place the dispenser pump in the jar lid when the hole is done and lightly hot glue them together on the inside of the lid. Allow to dry completely before moving.
4. Use the hot glue to attach the decorative fishing net- start from the top, leaving room for the jar lid, and cover all the way down and around, gluing as needed.
5. Glue starfish to the outside as desired. Have fun with it!
6. Optional: Add seashells to the inside of your soap dispenser before you fill it with soap. They add a little extra something special.
