There are only two weeks left of school here and we can’t wait for summer! The temperature has been steadily climbing {a little too high, too fast, if you ask me} and we’ve all switched to shorts and skirts. I officially took the jackets down from the hooks in the hallway and hung them in our closets, and I’ve been assessing the damage I did to my flip flop collection last year- the good news is I get to go shopping!
With summer just around the corner and the sun ahead of schedule, we’re settling in for a few hot months. To keep us going, we’re breaking out some of our favorite cool-down recipes, like this Cucumber Lemon Mint Water. The boys had something a little more chocolately in mind, so I present to you… Nutella Popsicles!
These Nutella Popsicles only require four ingredients and are super easy to make. They’d make a fun activity for bored kids over summer vacation!
Nutella Popsicles
Ingredients:
1 Cup Whole Milk
1/4 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
1/4 Cup Nutella
1-2 Tbsp Confectioners’ Sugar
Directions:
1. In a bowl, combine milk and cream together.
2. Warm the Nutella up slightly in the microwave for easier blending. This step is optional, but it helps!
3. Whisk in the Nutella until very well incorporated.
4. Pour into popsicle molds and freeze until solid* {about 5 hours}.
*If you’re using a popsicle mold that requires that you add sticks, you have two options: place foil over your popsicle mold right away and poke sticks through there as seen above, and then allow to freeze. Or, you can let the popsicles freeze partway and then about 2 hours in, add your sticks when the popsicles are strong enough to hold them up {and then allow to finish freezing for about 3 hours}.
If you don’t have a popsicle mold, there are several to choose from on Amazon. Enjoy!
