Last year, when I was pregnant, I basically became a camel. I always had a water bottle within reach and I made sure to drink enough water all the time {and the pregnancy-induced bathroom breaks proved it}. Since having Zac, I’ve had so many things to think about at all times that I have let my water consumption fall far down the list of things I need to be concerned with.
However, it’s been well over 100 degrees, even on rainy days, and my body is starting to get mad at me for neglecting it. I’ve been getting some pretty gnarly muscle cramps in my legs and after consulting Dr. Google, it seems to be from being dehydrated. Now, I love water, and have no problem drinking it plain- but as some incentive to remember to refill my glass more often, I do enjoy flavored water, like this Cucumber Lemon Mint Water!
Cucumbers are such a great option for hot summer days- not only are they cool and refreshing {especially in an infused water!} but they’re full of health benefits, too! They’re a good source of vitamin C, vitamin K, potassium and magnesium- which is great since you lose some of those when you sweat!
They have more super powers than that though- cucumbers contain antioxidants that can help reduce inflammation, and they contain fiber to aid in digestion. Oh, and don’t forget the skin benefits- cucumbers contain silica, a mineral that’s super important for healthy skin. {And of course they’re super cooling if you want to put them directly on your skin too!}
Cucumbers also contain over 95% water, so it’s no wonder that they’re so delicious in this beverage!
This Cucumber Lemon Mint Water is easy to make and delicious to drink. It’s perfect for picnics, parties, or just sipping poolside! Bottoms up!

Thank you for this recipe. I have been having problems with dehydration and I live in the low desert of CA where it is hot night and day, and I can’t seem to get enough water in me. I am going to make several of these jars today and put them in my fridge overnight so my family can try it too.
