I know some people who don’t use spring and fall when talking about the passing seasons, but rather the sport currently in session. We aren’t much of a sports watching family, but I definitely don’t mind when it’s football season- because that’s when all my favorite foods are popular!
I love all kinds of “football food” and love always finding it available in the fall, but I can’t wait until September for more chicken wings! We have been busting out the grill a lot lately and tonight we made chicken wings! We followed the Easy Buffalo Chicken Wings Recipe from Hellmann’s which switched it up a bit from the kind I had way too often just a few months ago.
Easy Buffalo Chicken Wings
Ingredients:
-1/4 cup Hellmann’s or Best Foods Real Mayonnaise
-2 tbsp cayenne pepper sauce
-12 chicken wings, halved {about 2 & 1/2 lbs}
-1/2 cup chunky blue cheese dressing
Directions:
1. Grill chicken on aluminum foil-lined grill or broil on aluminum-foil-lined baking pan, turning once, until chicken is thoroughly cooked and golden, about 20 minutes.
2. Combine Hellmann’s or Best Foods Real Mayonnaise and pepper sauce in large bowl; add cooked chicken and toss to coat.
3. Serve with blue cheese dressing.
While I would have made the Hellmann’s Chicken Wings recipe anyway because YUM, I actually made it because Meijer and Hellmann’s gave me a challenge! They wanted me to come up with the best side dish to accompany the Easy Buffalo Chicken Recipe, using Hellmann’s as my star ingredient. I came up with a delicious macaroni salad- the first one I’ve ever even liked! I think it has a little something to do with the mayo in it.
Summer Macaroni Salad
Ingredients:
-1/2 lb. Elbow Macaroni, cooked
-1/4 cup diced red onion
-3 tbsp sour cream
-2 cups cherry tomatoes, cut in half
-Hellmann’s or Best Foods mayo as needed {I used about 1/2 cup and added as needed}
-Fresh Cilantro to taste
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl, stir.
2. Chill in refridgerator for 20 minutes or until ready to eat.
3. Garnish with additional fresh cilantro and enjoy!

I would probably do deviled egg potato salad. The kids and hubby love it.
