I love baking & receiving food gifts for Christmas. They can be an inexpensive gift for anyone, and they are usually a lot of fun to make.
In past years, I’ve tried to always bring something yummy as a hostess gift of sorts when we go to Justin’s parents’ house for dinner. I also like to have something waiting for my parents when they come over in the afternoon to bring Shane his gifts.
Recently, I went with a more simple option: Peanut Butter Pretzel Dips! These no-bake holiday treats are perfect for gifting to friends, relatives, or even teachers. {Just make sure to check for allergies!}
Peanut Butter Pretzel Dips
Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 3/4 cups powdered sugar
84 pretzel thins
16 oz. melted chocolate
Candy decorations or sprinkles, as desired
Directions:
1. Combine butter and peanut butter in bowl; beat at low speed until well mixed. Add powdered sugar; continue beating until well mixed.
2. Place 2 tsp peanut butter mixture onto bottom-side of one pretzel thin. Top with another pretzel thin bottom-side down. Repeat with remaining peanut butter mixture and pretzels.
3. Line baking sheet with parchment or waxed paper. Set aside.
4. Melt chocolate coating according to package directions. Dip half of each pretzel sandwich into chocolate, shaking off excess. Place onto prepared baking sheet. Immediately sprinkle with candy decorations or sprinkles, as desired.
5. Let stand 15 minutes or until chocolate is set.
6. Store pretzel sandwiches in resealable plastic food bag for up to 2 weeks.
These treats were so delicious & since they don’t include raw eggs, I may have sampled them a few times during the assembly process.
We made a fun family project out of making these- Justin helped me spread the peanut butter, and Shane was more than happy to help with the sprinkles!

I like making the star pretzels with chocolate wafer melted on top and a m&m in the middle. I don’t know if they have an official name but I make them every year b/c they are yummy little treats and easy to give along with a gift or to add to a cookie tray.
