Note: This Oreo Cookie Balls recipe is brought to you by Oreo & Yummly.
I have a thing for cake pops, but I can not make them for the life of me. So when I saw the recipe for Oreo Cookie Balls, I was so excited- they look like cake pops {well, without the stick} but there’s baking involved! Also, OREOS!
I decided to make some & just like I do with pretty much everything this time of year, I threw some peppermint on it. If you like peppermint, you have to try these- the flavor combination is perfect! They only take four ingredients &are the perfect quick and easy dessert to take to holiday parties, dinners or even cookie swaps!
Peppermint Oreo Cookie Balls
Ingredients:
-1 pkg. (8 oz.) brick cream cheese, softened
-36 OREO Cookies, finely crushed (about 3 cups)
-4 pkg. (4 oz. each) semi-sweet baking chocolate, melted
-1 bag of hard peppermint candies or 2 packages of candy canes, finely crushed
Directions:
-Mix cream cheese and cookie crumbs until blended.
-Shape into 48 (1-inch) balls. Freeze 10 min. Dip balls in melted chocolate; place in single layer in shallow waxed paper-lined pan.
-Sprinkle with peppermint “dust” and pieces as desired
-Refrigerate 1 hour or until firm.
There are so many variations you can do to change these up, too- you can add peppermint baking chips instead of candy canes, you can use the Cool Mint or Winter Red Cream flavored Oreos, or you can use another topping entirely like coconut or chocolate chips. They’re quick and easy to make, so you can even make an assortment!
Have you tried Oreo Cookie Balls?

I still have some of mine in the freezer and I’m doling them out to myself one by one. They’re so good that I want to eat five at a time, but I’m being a good girl.

I don’t know why, but I just can’t get into peppermint for some reason. However, that looks so good that I’d be tempted to try it anyways.
