10 Fun Uses for Kool-Aid

When Shane started school on Monday, it was hard to admit that he’s growing up & going out into the real world- if only the 4-year-old version of it. But there was a huge silver lining: now I get to do some of the fun things I wasn’t able to before he started school, like volunteer in his classroom & make him after-school snacks!

He’s only going to school 3 days a week {for a half day each time} but on those days, I get to ask him about his day & listen to his stories about new friends. I can hear all about what he’s learning- including songs that he sings to me in his sweet little voice. I can fill his belly with his favorites & some of my favorites from my own childhood as well.

Kool-Aid Popsicles

Today after school, I had some Kool-Aid popsicles ready & waiting for him! He would have also loved the Kool-Aid as a drink in a glass, but it’s still crazy hot out here & it’s been humid thanks to the on-again, off-again rain. So I figured a popsicle would be a great way to cool off after school!

It’s crazy easy to make them, too- just make your Kool-Aid according to package directions, and fill up whatever kind of popsicle mold you have. Freeze for a few hours & ta-da!

  40. I would love to try using kool-aid to flavor snow cones. It would be a great treat for a hot day and I imagine it would be fun and easy to make.

  41. My girls have used it to make lip gloss and we’ve used it to color the ends of my youngest daughter’s hair. We also like to drink it. lol thank you!

  57. Oh I guess I have always been boring and just made it the regular way..which is always fabulous!!! But…I would love to try the snowcones! Oh Carter would love those!!! Fun!
