Conagra Brands and General Mills sponsored this post, but the opinions are my own.
This time of year seems to be all about pie. Holiday dinners center around it, and growing up whenever we went to visit family there were several types of pie available. The problem? I didn’t like any of them! I come by it honestly- my dad isn’t into pie, either. To make my dad and I happy, my mom always made pudding pie!
While I’ve grown to like more traditional pie as well, pudding pie will always be my favorite. It reminds me of my childhood- and it’s delicious, too! Now, instead of my mom making it for me, I make it for my kids. Another reason that pudding pie is my favorite is that it is much easier to make than traditional fruit pies, and only takes a few ingredients. It’s the perfect dish to make for the holidays, whether you’re making it as a dessert for a holiday feast or as a quick dish to serve to unexpected company!
Ingredients:
1 Pillsbury™ Refrigerated Pie Crust
Reddi-Wip Dairy Whipped Topping*
(2) 3.9 oz. Chocolate Pudding Mixes
4 Cups Cold Milk
10 Chocolate Sandwich Cookies, cream removed and cookies crushed
Sprinkles!
{I used both Reddi-wip Extra Creamy Dairy Whipped Topping and Reddi-wip Original Dairy Whipped Topping. You could opt to use just one or the other if you’d prefer!}
Directions:
Bake your pie crust according to package directions.
Meanwhile, make pudding by combining chocolate pudding mix, cold milk, and Reddi-wip Extra Creamy Dairy Whipped Topping- about ¼ cup or until you’ve reached a consistency you like. Stir well.
Allow pudding to set in the fridge while your pie crust cools. When both are completed, pour your pudding into the pie crust and smooth it out.
Sprinkle with crushed up sandwich cookies.
Place back in the fridge for about five minutes.
Take a slice, add a dollop of Reddi-wip Original Dairy Whipped Topping, and top it with sprinkles!
If you want to add a new pie to the spread this holiday season, you can’t go wrong with this one! Bonus: you can get the ingredients you need at your local Walmart!
