Get Crafty with Factory Direct Craft!

Well, it may be another two weeks until it’s official but based on the weather we’ve been having, I’d say Spring is here! Between the eggs hatching, flowers blooming & sun shining, I’m really excited to start decorating my house for Spring & Easter!

I have some cute go-to decorations for Easter but every year I like to make something as well. Last year, Shane & I finger-painted & used stickers on some plastic eggs, and the year before that I made a little scene thing that had a little yellow chick with some glittery eggs & some grass- nothing fancy, but very fun to make & I loved looking at it!

I’m already coming up with ideas for what to make this year after browsing all of the craft supplies at Factory Direct Craft! I spent way too long looking at their kid craft items as well but since Easter’s in a month, I was more focused on their super cute Spring products!

This is just a SMALL sampling of what I fell in love with- & I’m having a really hard time narrowing it down & choosing which to get! Their prices are so good, that I could buy every single one of those items for under $30- for $27.42, to be exact! The only reason I even need to narrow down my choices at all is just because I don’t have time for all these cute goodies!

They also have really cute baskets that could make a really cute Easter basket- and they have 49 different kinds so surely you can find something perfect for the Easter Bunny to bring to your house!

If you’re feeling inspired but don’t know what to make, look no further than the Factory Direct Craft blog! They have project ideas & tutorials on everything from Leaf Print Easter Eggs to Thumb Print Bunny Cards to the super cool Message in an Egg!

Be Comfortable and Stylish this Spring with Earth Footwear! {Review}

Earth_logo_withTag

I am a flip flop girl. Living in Vegas, where it’s almost always hot & there’s very rarely any rain, you can find me in flip flops from the first day of Spring to the last day of Fall. It’s not that they’re particularly comfortable- it’s just that I have trouble finding shoes that I actually like and that actually stay on my feet.

Now though, thanks to earth footwear, I finally have an alternative to my boring flip flops!

Earth_Wisteria_Platinum

I received the Wisteria shoe style and they are not only cute, but they actually stay on my feet thanks to the buckle &the stretch material that helps to control the fit. &While these have the look of heels, they feel like flip flops- the multi-density cushioned footbed, reinforced arch support {which is lovely, by the way} and padded heel all work together to make these shoes wearable all day long- not a quality you find often in shoes this cute. {You can learn more about what makes these shoes so comfortable!}

&They go with pretty much everything! I wore them with tight dark jeans & a t-shirt the other day but you could pair them with something even more casual & “beachy” like linen cargo pants, or you could dress them up with a cute sundress. I get the feeling I’m going to be wearing these shoes even more than my flip flops as soon as Spring is officially here!

{Pardon the photo quality – I’m definitely not a shoe photographer- and I’m even less a foot model!}

The entire Spring/Summer 2012 Earth® Collection is all under $100!  Prices range from $79-$99 – and all are made of real leather. Plus, these shoes are comfy, versatile & cute enough to wear all the time so you’ll get a lot of wear for your money!

Review & Giveaway: Win a Gift Card to ecomom.com!

ecomom is a unique shopping experience- it’s like a mini-Amazon in that there are products from all different categories such as food, health, home, toys, books, etc. However, while it contains many types of products like Amazon, it is much more selective on which specific products make the cut to be sold on ecomom.com- products must fit with the philosophy of the site:

ecomom is about bridging the gap between making healthy choices and making easy choices. We created ecomom because we care and are concerned for babies and their moms, our families and our communities. We want every mom to be an ecomom because being an ecomom means making choices that are good for all of us, and the planet which we all share.

ecomom is one of my all-time favorite companies because based on my interactions with them, I can tell how deeply they care for the children & parents they serve and I always find great new-to-me products while I’m there!

ecomom sent me an egg organizer to review & it’s definitely not anything I’ve seen at my local stores!

This Kikkerland ceramic egg organizer is multi-functional: in fact, ecomom doesn’t even market it as a product to hold your eggs. It was recommended as a desk “catch-all” & that’s totally what I’m using it for! I always have little odds & ends on my desk and now that Shane is getting to the height where he can reach the desk top, I am being particularly careful about what I leave out. But some items that I use don’t have a “home” anywhere, or if I’m cleaning in a hurry it seems silly to put them away- like the paper clips I usually have floating around that actually belong in a container inside of a drawer across the room. That’s way too much work for a “speed-clean”!

So those little odds & ends? They get tossed into the egg organizer that sits on my desk, all Spring-like.

It totally makes me want to get going on my Spring decorating!

The egg organizer, along with thousands of other great products, can be purchased from the newly-redesigned ecomom.com.
