While Dr. Mario is free to download, I received a thank you gift for posting this review. All opinions are my own.
Did you know that Dr. Mario recently celebrated its 30th anniversary? That means I was just a baby when it came out, so I literally can’t remember a world without it! I used to play it on NES as a kid and I still play it now- just, not on NES.

Dr. Mario World is a free-to-start game available for Android or iOS that is an updated version of the classic. In the match-3 game, the goal is to eliminate pesky viruses by using your puzzle skills to match capsules with viruses and watch them disappear! {Something I think we all wish we could do in real life. Just saying…}

Dr. Mario World can be played with friends and family too- even from a distance! You can add them as friends in the game to send and received hearts {which give you stamina}- or if you’d rather fight, you can play Versus Mode to challenge each other to a one-on-one virus-busting showdown. You can even check your friends’ progress in Stage Mode- and then beat their progress for ultimate bragging rights!

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Dr. Mario, a new update just went live on Dr. Mario World. A new mode, Skill Summit, has been added where Doctors take turns being mentors and holding limited-time summits for players to clear to earn in-game rewards. You will also now receive Dr. Toad automatically when you clear stage 20!

This game is so much fun to play and you can play it even if you don’t have a Nintendo Switch. {Although you should REALLY get a Nintendo Switch.} It’s a great game to play to relax and a great way to virtually spend time with friends that you may not be able to see in person right now.

If you’re a fan of Mario or matching games, or just want to try something new, you can download Dr. Mario World now: click here for iOS and click here for Android!
