This post is brought to you by Kabook! All opinions are my own.
We love to read around here, and try to make time for it everyday. Each kid has a stack full of favorite books, but the ones that are most special to them are usually the ones that remind them of themselves. Whether it’s a character that decorated their nursery or a character with their name, seeing themselves in books always makes them more interested than usual.

We recently ordered a book from Kabook! that not only reminds Zac of himself- but it includes him in the story! We’ve ordered personalized books before and they are always a hit, but I have to say I think the one we got from Kabook! has been my favorite. First of all, the story is fantastic and kept Zac entertained the entire time- and continues to do so, even though we’ve now read it dozens of times.
I also loved that I was able to make the book myself using their website! Of course the story and illustrations are provided, but I was able to answer the questions needed for the book and preview them in the story. In doing so, I realized that the way I phrased something didn’t mesh well with the story and I was able to go in and change it- something I’ve never been able to do before with a personalized book service!

The book that we ordered for Zac was Wanted: The Boy Who Saved the Kingdom. It featured beautiful illustrations that had Zac’s imagination running wild, and I loved the tone of the story. It even had an interactive element toward the end that I don’t want to spoil but my kiddos both got a kick out of it!
Currently, Kabook! offers four different stories that can be customized with your child’s information, including their photo, their favorite things, and more:
Wanted: The Girl/Boy Who Saved the Kingdom: Armies of frogs have invaded a nearby magical kingdom, and only your child can save it!
We Hope You Remember: A powerful ode to family love, featuring 15 of your child’s baby photos.
NEW: the We Hope You Remember baby gift edition! It’s a perfect present for newborns – just upload the newborn’s picture and name, and print out his or her new book.
Hornswoggled!: A pirate crew has found a mysterious treasure map, but only your child can help them solve the riddles and unveil the treasure!
The List: Santa’s List is missing a page!: Your child’s page on The List (Naughty or Nice) was accidentally shredded, so the elves are trying to put the page back together in time for the holidays!
We got Zac Wanted: The Boy Who Saved the Kingdom for Christmas and he loved it so much, we’ll be ordering Hornswoggled! for his birthday later this month!
Kabook! titles are geared toward children 0-7 and would make a great gift for birthdays, Valentine’s Day, the holidays, or any other special occasion {or just because}! Stories start at just $24.99 and creating your book can take as little as 1 minute. {The We Hope You Remember book takes a bit longer as you’ll need to find baby pictures, but that sounds like so much fun!}
