We are now officially a month into the year, and while I don’t feel like I’ve made much progress with my resolution to be healthier, I do think that I’m on the right track. Instead of jumping into something just because of the date on the calendar, I’m making sure I’m setting myself up for success. One of the ways that I’ve done that is by setting up the Nokia Body+ Scale in my bathroom!
While I absolutely hate standing on the scale- any scale- it’s so important to keep tabs on where you are with your health journey. Of course, your weight isn’t the ultimate determining factor that tells you if you’re healthy, but when your goal is weight loss it’s important to be able to track those numbers to see if what you’re doing is helping at all. That said, weight is just one little number- not the full picture. And that’s what I love about the Nokia Body+ Scale!
The Nokia Body+ Scale doesn’t just tell you your weight- it tells you your BMI, your body fat percentage, your muscle mass, your water weight, and even your bone mass. Being able to see your body broken down into all these different categories really helps you pinpoint what is helping you and what isn’t. For example, if you start going to the gym, you might gain weight because of muscle mass. Or, you might be gaining weight because you reward yourself with a cookies + cream protein smoothies after every mini-workout {like I totally did in college}. Stepping on that scale and seeing a higher number after putting in hard work can be scary- but with the Body+ Scale, you can see if it’s actually something that you should be concerned about or if it’s just your muscle mass increasing!
Another thing that I love about the Body+ Scale is that it syncs to your phone, so you can see your progress right in front of your eyes. You can customize the HealthMate app to include the information you care about. You can even set the app up with other smart health devices to get an even broader scope of your current fitness, your goals, and your accomplishments.
Wherever you are in your fitness journey, I’d recommend the Nokia Body+ Scale to get a better glimpse into what’s going on with your body. Just remember, all bodies are beautiful!
