This post is brought to you by Box Tops. All opinions are my own.
As of Monday, school is officially back in session! It’s been an interesting week trying to get back into our routine, but we’re both really excited for this school year. It’s really like we’re both going back to school- I may not be sitting in the classroom, but I already filled out my papers to volunteer in the classroom and I’ve been recently appointed the new Box Tops coordinator for our school!
At our school, we do special incentives a few times a year to keep the kids excited to bring in their Box Tops and to encourage families to clip them out and send them in. Box Tops can make a huge difference- they add up very quickly and last year our school received thousands of dollars from them! If your school collects Box Tops too, I have some exciting news- it’s easier than ever to save them up and redeem them for your school! You can already find Box Tops on the packages of many of your favorite brands, but did you know that you could also find them on those products at Costco? Not only that, but right now a lot of your favorite items have 8 Box Tops on them!
Not only can you get bonus Box Tops right now, but specially marked packages will also let you enter the Golden Box Tops sweepstakes, too- for a chance to win 100 eBoxTops for your school! Each box will have a code that you can play online at CostcoBoxTops.com that’ll enter you to win one of 3,000 Box Tops prize packs.
Here’s how to see if you have the Golden Box Tops:
It’s easy to play and you can make a difference for your school! There are lots of participating products, including some of my go-to Costco buys, like Nature Valley Oats & Honey Granola Bars {49ct}, Fiber One Bars Oats and Chocolate {48 ct}, GoGurt Simple {32ct}, Ziploc brand Freezer Quart Bags {216 ct} and more! I actually picked up all of those products on my last Costco run so not only did I end up with lots of bonus Box Tops, but I had a few Golden Box Tops codes to enter as well. We weren’t lucky winners {yet- you can enter each code twice so we’ll be trying one more time!} but Shane had fun reading the codes off to me and “scratching” the online game piece to see if we won!
My whole family already knows that they aren’t allowed to throw away packages without checking for Box Tops first, but they can wind up in random places when everyone pulls them off and puts them somewhere for me. I wanted a central location that everyone could deposit their Box Tops, so I decided to make a spot for it on the kitchen counter- but since it was highly visible, I wanted something cute. I couldn’t find anything I liked enough, so I made a super easy container to hold them all while we wait for the next school contest- and I didn’t spend any money!
I go through Ziploc bags a lot {which is why I always grab them at Costco}, so when we ran out last time I saved the box. I used some 8×8 scrapbook paper, a glue stick, and some scissors and made a cute and easy Box Top deposit box! The hole was already cut so it’s even easier for the kids {and us!} to just pop them in- and that means I won’t be digging Box Tops out of ten different places next time I need to turn them in!
To make one, all you need to do is either trace the sides of your box or measure them out and pencil them onto the back of the paper. Then just cut, glue, and trim!
Whether you have kids in school who collect Box Tops or you’re saving them for your local school, be sure to check the packages for those extra Box Tops at Costco!
