The holiday season is full of indulgence, whether it’s buying an expensive gift for a loved one or taking an extra helping of pumpkin pie. But not all indulgences are bad for you! Silk, makers of delicious soy, almond, coconut and fruit & protein beverages have a whole slew of drink recipes that taste indulgent but include healthier ingredients such as soy milk & even fruit!
Each of the drinks would be great for any holiday celebration- you can even add a little extra “spice” to them for parties! I recently made the Freshly Minted beverage & it was amazing! It starts off with Silk’s seasonal Mint Chocolate beverage, which you combine with blackberries & orange. It sounds like an odd combination but trust me, it’s delicious! I chose to make it non-alcoholic since I don’t drink, but you could just add 1 oz. of amber rum and 3/4 oz. orange liqueur to it to make it even more exciting!
Since Justin doesn’t like mint chocolate, I made his with just regular chocolate flavored Silk & he loved it! It reminded us both of those chocolate oranges that you get for Christmas which was perfect! I’m not hosting any holiday parties this year, but I’ll be enjoying this beverage several more times this month as my own yummy way to celebrate the season!
