Shane loves my iPod Touch- a lot. A few months ago I downloaded some apps for him, but he had some trouble playing them. He couldn’t figure out how to hold the iPod and touch the screen at the same time, and would also often press the minimize button, making the app go away. He loved the apps, but I hated messing with it constantly, so one night I hid it from him. It lived in a drawer until a week ago, when we received the Infantino HappiTaps Case!
What is HappiTaps? HappiTaps is a free app from the app store {Get it here} called Beary Happi: Lovable Friend that you can download straight to your iPod Touch or iPhone. It’s totally & utterly adorable- “Beary” is the face of a bear that sings, tells stories, and interacts with your child. There are also fun game-like features, such as the rattle mode where you can tap to add items and shake to make them float and make noise, and the feeding time feature where you drag food to Beary’s mouth as he teaches you about the foods.
You can play with Beary Happi and have a blast, but it’s way MORE fun when you get the HappiTaps Case! The case is great because it turns the iPod or iPhone into a friend- it’s like a stuffed animal that interacts with you, instead of just a phone or iPod. It’s also nice because it keeps your little one’s paws off of the minimize button, and it helps give them something to hold on to, making it easier to actually tap the screen and interact with the app. The case also lets you hand off your iPod or iPhone to your child without worrying about them breaking it- the case is plush and so it’d be pretty hard for your device to get broken while using it.
You can feel good giving your toddler their Beary friend to play with because it’s a fun & educational toy!
Shane quickly fell in love with his friend Beary. I’ve had to charge my iPod twice today because he’s been using him all day!
It’s really convenient to bring along- it’s got a clip that you can attach to a car seat, a purse, a stroller, or whatever!
You can use it to distract your little one at restaurants…
Or to entertain them in the car!
Or you can just let your child play with it like any other toy. Shane treats it like another stuffed animal- but one that’s much more fun and actually talks to him!

Did you download the app? What’s your favorite thing about Beary? I like his jokes… they’re “beary” cute!
I wrote this review while participating in a campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Infantino HappiTaps and received a product sample to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.
