Get ready to react fast! Turn on the Bop It! game unit and get ready to Bop, Pull, and Twist your way to victory. For even more of a challenge, activate the microphone and Shout It, too! Choose to play alone or invite your friends for a game of Party Bop—you’ll all have to use your knees, elbows, and hips to win! The better you get, the more skill levels you unlock, so think fast and be the Bop It! master!
As a kid, I had Bop It! Extreme- I would sit in my room & play and play until my fingers callused from responding to “Twist It” too many times & I finally beat my high score. Somewhere along the way, I lost the game, but I have had many conversations with Hubby about how it was one of my favorite games, ever. Especially because you could play it by yourself, so since my parents never really had time for “Family Game Nights” & my brother was much younger than me & still playing Candyland, it was great because I could play it all by myself & still have lots of fun.
When I was offered a Bop It! game for review, I immediately accepted. I knew Hubby & I would have so much fun playing it- and hey, even if he didn’t, I knew I would! Well, Hubby & I both love it, but it turns out Shane does too! He’s much too young to actually respond to the commands “Bop It”, “Twist It”, “Pull It” & “Shout It” but he found his own way to play. First of all, he helps us when we play- every time it says “Shout It” Shane & I yell into the microphone together. I will never, ever fail at “Shout It” as long as I’ve got Shane on my team! He doesn’t even need the command. 😉 He also taught himself how to play- he learned that hitting the big Bop It button in the middle starts a round, which turns on the music so he can dance! He even gets one point every game, since they always start with “Bop It” &he just hits it over & over.
But beyond Shane just messing around with it, it really is fun. Hubby is insanely competitive so it’s fun to watch him Twist when he should Pull & get all frustrated! Plus, when Hubby doesn’t want to play, I can still play it alone and have fun trying to beat my own score- just like when I was a kid.
Bop It! can be purchased at Toys R Us, Target, Walmart, or Amazon.com for about $20.00. I looked around & the best price I found was Amazon IF you have a Prime membership {$15 +free shipping if you have Prime} OR if you don’t have Prime, go to Walmart.com where it’s also $15 and you can select Site-to-Store to pick it up at your store ¬ pay shipping!

My favorite game as a kid was Life. We recently got Hasbro Family Game Night for PS3, so my husband and I secretly play life at night. We are so much better than the kids are.
