Update as of 1/11/11: This giveaway is being extended to 1/18/11 at 11:59pm PST as it is now the first of ELEVEN giveaways today in honor of 1/11/11 and my 1st blogoversary! Good luck!
Part of my New Year Celebration includes sharing with you tools that I intend to use to achieve my goals- starting with a great cleaning book!
Just Clean Enough by I.B. Caruso and Jenny Schroedel
A clean house means peace of mind. But who has the time to keep on top of it?
Fortunately, this book breaks down home organization and gives busy families a solution. Unlike other decluttering books that press for perfection, this flexible guide features tips for each room in the house and helps you tackle your clutter in any way that works for you. With helpful icons that highlight quick tasks more suitable for weeknights as well as time-consuming jobs best left for the weekend, you will clean up and still have time for fun!
After all, why spend all day cleaning when it’s easy to do small things, like:
- Dump out the junk drawer
- Toss unnecessary papers
- Corral kids’ toys
- Clean out the medicine cabinet
Before long, you will be able to clean up your act–one closet, one room, one day at a time!
My take: This book is really great- especially in the way it’s organized {which I suppose is fitting!}. It’s not one of those books that you have to read cover to cover to actually implement- if your mother in law is coming over in an hour & your powder room is a disaster, you can flip directly to that chapter & she’ll never know the difference! The book is full of helpful information that made me want to read cover to cover, so that I’d have the information at the ready in my mind, but you can use it however you need it.
&Now, THREE {Not Quite} Susie Homemaker readers are going to take home their own copy of the book! Yay!

Sounds like a great book. My office is the worst! It is a tiny room with SO much crammed in it. It’s my closet, my office, a guest room, my scrapbook room, my shoes. My shoes. UGH! I have only begun to tell you what is all in that room. It’s exhausting just thinking about it.
I want to fix it… It’s just so overwhelming!

My problem room is my bathroom. I have one bathroom and three daughters, two of whom are teenagers. It feel like, no matter what I do, it’s always a mess.

I have 2 problem areas – master bathroom and kitchen. Both can get really gross and majorly disorganized very quickly, and both are a huge pain to clean! This book sounds really cool! ๐ Thank you for extending the giveaway on this!
