My Three Favorite Nutrisystem Resources #NSNation

One of my favorite things about Nutrisystem is that they offer several tools to help you along your journey. With every membership you receive access to the online community, which includes forums & support, and has many other resources as well. Below are a few of my favorites:

Recipe Center

The Recipe Center includes recipes created by people that actually work for Nutrisystem as well as other people on the plan. You can find hundreds of recipes to try {there are currently 714 member-submitted recipes & 40 straight from Nutrisystem’s kitchen} if you really want to cook without going off the plan. I have used this resource a LOT as I love cooking!

Tracker and Profile

On the left, under my profile picture, you’ll see options to log FIVE different things: my “daily 3” {3 activities at 10-15 minutes each}, my exercise, weight, journal, and measurements. It’s hard to see progress day to day, but when you look from the start to the finish it’s way easier to see how far you’ve come!

Salad Bar

Then there’s the dining out guide, which lists what are good choices and what are bad at various types of restaurants. You can see the list of cuisine types on the left- there’s a list for pretty much anywhere you’re going! This is awesome for those times that you can’t avoid going out {business lunches, social gatherings, etc.} so that you aren’t paying for it on the scale that week!

These are just the three resources that I find that I use the most- there are SO many more to be utilized! I love that Nutrisystem doesn’t just send you food & expect you to figure it out- they really are there to help every step of the way.

Sponsor Spotlight: EatSmart Precision Digital Bathroom Scale

logo
Raise your hand if you weigh yourself on a regular basis. Now raise your hand if you actually like doing that! Now, I won’t claim to like the number that flashes back at me- but I will tell you that I love that it now flashes at me from a beautiful blue LED display!

&I may not be a fan of waiting for that dreaded number to pop up & measure my success- but I DO like that with the “Step-On” Technology that my Precision Digital Bathroom Scale has, I don’t have to wait! With my old scale, I’d have to turn the scale on & let it display 0, then step on it and wait for the 0 to flash 5-6 times before finally showing me the number. With this scale, all I do is step on & the number flashes immediately!

&While I wish I were losing 15 lbs. a week like the contestants on The Biggest Loser- I can still celebrate the minor accomplishments because this scale weighs in increments of just .2 lbs.

While weighing myself isn’t the most fun part of my day, it has gotten a little better just by getting a better scale. &Even though it may not be enjoyable, stepping on that scale occasionally is a great way to measure your success, or see if you need to work on something.

I already loved EatSmart products after having the chance to review their Digital Kitchen Scale, which I still use regularly. &This Digital Bathroom Scale is just as wonderful as the Kitchen one.

Some of the benefits of the scale include:
-“Step-On” Technology
-Large 3.5” LCD Display w/ Cool Blue Backlight
-Weighs up to 400 lbs
-Uses increments of .2 lbs.
-Auto Calibrated & Auto Power-Off saves time & money
-Batteries are included, as well as a body measure tape

Not only do I love the scale {as much as I can love anything that flashes my weight nice & big}, but Shane loves it, too, &he actually steps on it all the time to make it light up. &It’s pretty, which means I don’t have to hide it in between uses!

Buy It: You can find this scale on Amazon for only $28.95 {on sale from $49.95!}

Win It: One lucky reader will win their own EatSmart Precision Digital Bathroom Scale in the Spring Fever giveaway! Good luck!

Week 9 Weigh-In! #NSNation

Week 9 was a moment I had been waiting on for weeks. After weeks of the Nutrisystem plan with no movement on the scale and a .5 lb. loss in Week 8, I finally lost 1.5 lbs. in Week 9! I was even more excited because the loss brought my weight down to the next digit in the ten’s place! {I don’t want to reveal my actual weight until my weight loss journey is complete but for example, if I was 121 lbs. then I went down to 119.5. Except if I was 119.5, I’d be running around naked & showing off, just so we’re clear.}

I’d love to say that I did something different this week, but really, it was the same. I think my body just stopped being angry at me for the shock from the switch & gave in or something. I had been doing things pretty well since the beginning- I won’t say I am on-track 100% of the time, but I will say it’s around 85-90% of the time, which is where I’m still at.

I would love to dedicate myself to the plan 100% and it’s something I set out to do every single week, but at some point or another during the week, temptation gets me. Either I make a recipe to share with you all that I simply must taste-test first, or Shane leaves a few bites of his chicken on his plate after dinner that I don’t want to “waste”. Like I said, I’d love to commit 100%, and I’m trying, but temptation is not something I’m good with! But, I’m going to keep trying my hardest, and I suppose that’s the best I can do!

Nutrisystem Week 8 Weigh-In! #NSNation

I’m a week behind so I’ll be playing catch up this week!

During my 8th week on Nutrisystem, I finally got the scale to budge & lost… 1/2 a pound! It may not seem like much but I’ve been working hard & haven’t seen the scale move in weeks so even .5 is a victory to me.

It was the same week as Easter, but we didn’t do an Easter dinner really {we did bring Rubio’s to my in-laws for lunch, but it was no Holiday feast!} but there was a LOT of candy of course. Easter candy is totally my downfall. So I allowed myself to have a few pieces but not go crazy. Come back tomorrow to see if it totally ruined my results for Week 9!

Week Seven Weigh-In #NSNation

Another week on Nutrisystem, another weigh-in to report!

I actually did a pretty good job this week sticking to the plan, but my scale disagrees. I’m stuck at the same number- again. *Insert dramatic sigh here*

That said, I bought some new clothes this week {as mine are getting too big}, and they were a whole size smaller than usual. It felt pretty awesome to be able to actually buy stuff at Forever 21, who doesn’t ever have my “old” size, XL, in stock. I bought everything as a size large, and it’s all a bit big on me even. {I’m at that weird in-between now- but at least it’s between M & L and not L & XL!}

So even though my scale refuses to budge, I’m still feeling alright because I know my body’s changing. 2 months ago, when I started Nutrisystem, I couldn’t have bought these clothes, so I consider that an accomplishment!

Now, here’s to hoping my scale agrees next week!
