It’s been really cold here lately- at least for Vegas. I’ve been trying to make my favorite warm meals for dinner every night, including an old tried and true- chili!
Chili is a great recipe to make on a busy winter weeknight because it doesn’t take that much work- it’s mostly cooking meat and opening cans. To make the process even shorter, I have a premade batch of chili seasoning already in my pantry ready to be used! It saves me a lot of time and lets me spend more time huddled under the blankets on the couch. Whip up your own batch of Chili Seasoning with the easy recipe below!
Chili Seasoning Mix
1/2 cup flour
1 cup minced dried onion flakes
1/4 cup chili powder
4 tsp. seasoning salt
4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
2 tsp. garlic powder
4 tsp. sugar
4 tsp. cumin
To Make: Combine the ingredients and store in an airtight container.
To Use: When making chili use about 1/4 cup of the chili seasoning per 1 pound of ground beef or ground turkey. Add more as needed to taste.
