I have a thing for comfort food, especially in the winter. Having to venture out into the cold for even just a few minutes makes me want to get back home and enjoy a warm meal from my childhood. One of my absolute favorite foods growing up {and to this day} is Kraft Macaroni & Cheese, which is of course a staple in most households.
I recently found a recipe on the Kraft section of the Walmart website that was for Buffalo Chicken Mac– a more grown-up version of one of my favorite comfort foods, and one that included another favorite food of mine- buffalo chicken! It looked easy enough {it even starts with a box of Kraft Deluxe Macaroni & Cheese Dinner} so the other day I gave it a try!
The Buffalo Chicken Mac recipe is super simple to make and only takes a few ingredients. The Deluxe Macaroni & Cheese Dinner doesn’t even require milk or butter to be added, so with just a few minutes and a few ingredients you can have a tasty dinner that’ll bring you back to your childhood- with a twist.
Ingredients:
1pkg. (14 oz.) KRAFT Deluxe Macaroni & Cheese Dinner
1-1/2cups chopped cooked chicken breasts
1Tbsp. Buffalo wing sauce
1/2cup KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese
1Tbsp. chopped green onions
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 425 degrees.
2. Prepare dinner in large saucepan as directed on package.
3. Toss chicken with wing sauce; stir into Dinner. Spoon into 1-1/2 qt. casserole sprayed with cooking spray; top with shredded cheese.
4. Bake 5 to 10 min. or until cheese is melted. Sprinkle with onions.
