Making Memories &Encouraging Kids at Back-to-School Time with Hallmark {Giveaway!}

Back-to-school is a special time filled with making new memories. This is my first school year on the parent side of things, so I don’t quite know what to expect yet, but I’m looking forward to things like the dress-up days Shane’s school hosts, the two shows he’ll put on where I can come watch him sing, &of course, listening to him recap his day every afternoon when I pick him up. &Of course, there was the first big school memory: the first day of school!

Hallmark has a selection of products this year that are meant to make that first day special for grown-ups & kids alike. They generously sent us a variety of those items to review for Shane’s first day of school & I was thrilled to put them to good use! My favorite was the Pics ‘n’ Props School Days Activity Kit. It includes chalkboards {one for each grade} & a frame to pose with for that all-important first day of school picture! It also includes a “My First Day!” photo album so that year after year, you can add that special shot.

Shane's First Day of Preschool 2013I’m glad we got it this year because now I’ll truly be able to get Shane’s photo with the frame every single year, but even if your kids have already been in school for awhile, you can add their older photos into the album & start using the frame from this year on!

Hallmark Back to School Greeting CardsIn addition to the kit, Hallmark has several greeting cards meant to get kids even more excited for school! The lines include:

SO SO Happy™ Greetings: Hallmark’s new line of SO SO Happy greetings help moms connect with their kids in a way they understand and appreciate. From Taco to Tribe, a variety of adorable characters inspire and celebrate positivity, acceptance and love — attributes especially important during the school year. Cards even include fun surprises for kids like shoelaces, key chains and more.

Kids Encouragement Greetings: Whether it’s a new social situation, a test, first game of the year or any day of the week, sometimes kids need a confidence boost. These cards feature kid-appropriate topics to help encourage the special kiddos in your life.

Back-to-School Greetings: The newest back-to-school greetings feature furry friends to help you say “Go get ‘em!” to the kiddos in your life.

I remember how special getting mail was as a kid- in fact, I still have just about every card that was ever sent to me! I love going through them & it still warms my heart to see the handwritten notes from my loved ones, whether they were wishing me a happy birthday or just letting me know that they’d been thinking of me.

If you have kids in your life that are going back to school, be sure to check out Hallmark’s new products!

Buy It: Hallmark products can be purchased at your local drugstore, mass retailer or even grocery store. You can also find some products on their website. The Pics ‘n’ Props School Days Activity Kit retails for $29.99 & the prices of the cards vary.
