LISTERINE 21-Day Challenge: The Results!

You may remember that a little over three weeks ago I shared that Shane & I would be starting the LISTERINE 21-day Challenge. Well, it’s all over & I’m ready to share how we did!

Listerine 21-Day Challenge

I have to admit that I still don’t floss every day, but I definitely do it more days than not now. I used to only floss once or twice a week but now it’s at least every other day. &While I already used LISTERINE mouthwash at night, even before the challenge, I am now using it in the morning- and swishing for the entire 30 seconds each time. At first that was a tricky thing to accomplish because the mouthwash does tingle a bit {in that way that you can just imagine the germs in your mouth meeting their untimely demise} but I got over that within a couple of days.

Listerine 21-Day Challenge- The Benefit

LISTERINE says that within just two weeks of using their mouthwash twice a day for thirty seconds each time, you could have up to 5x healthier gums- and I have to agree. My gums, while still not perfect, I’m sure, no longer bleed almost every time I brush my teeth. They still do once in awhile, but it’s not an all-the-time thing anymore. I can’t wait to see what changes occur in the next few weeks, since I fully plan on keeping up the routine.

Listerine UltraClean

I have always been a fan of LISTERINE but I have to say that I’m totally switching to their new UltraClean formula from now on. All of their mouthwashes are great, but this particular one is really strong {in a good way} & has a nice flavor to it- and most importantly, my mouth feels cleaner & stays that way for longer. I’m totally sold on it & plan on continuing to use it.

Shane did okay with the challenge, too. He is already great about brushing {even more so now that he has a super cool Phineas & Ferb toothbrush that we received for this challenge} and is too young for their mouth rinse, so we were focusing on flossing throughout this campaign. We did pretty good about flossing the first week- he didn’t like it, but eventually he’d let me do it- but he got off easy because he’s been sick for the last two weeks, so I haven’t been wanting to battle with him over flossing his teeth. When he’s better though, I plan on starting the challenge over with him since he really responded well to the chart & was proud to get his check marks every day- until he was too sick to care.

Listerine 21-Day Challenge and Oral Health America

If you think you or your family could benefit from taking the LISTERINE 21-Day Challenge, there’s still time to sign up! You can sign up on Facebook, and not only will you & your family be on your way to healthier mouths but you’ll be helping children in need. For each person who signs up for the challenge, LISTERINE will donate to Oral Health America’s Smiles Across America, a non-profit program connecting kids in need with oral health services. Talk about a win-win!

Have you signed up for the 21-Day Challenge?

Note: I received products from Johnson & Johnson Healthcare Products Division of McNEIL-PPC, Inc. and The Motherhood as part of my participation in the LISTERINE 21 Day Challenge. All thoughts and opinions expressed in this post are my own.
