I have loved Red Envelope for a long time. They have unique & lovely gifts and they always have something for everyone! My sister got me a necklace from there years ago & it’s still one of my most treasured items, so when I had the opportunity to pick something out for myself from their site I had to take it!
I started out by looking at the Wedding Gifts section since we’re getting married in a few months & I was curious as to what is typically recommend to give as gifts. I definitely wouldn’t mind receiving some of the items they have, like the to have & to hold ring holder, personalized celebration wall art or personalized cameo silhouette pillow cases! But since we aren’t married yet, I decided to skip that category & treat myself to something since I rarely do.
They had gorgeous jewelry, beautiful home décor items & even some fresh treats like chocolate covered strawberries & flowers. Ultimately, I decided to go with something practical that I’ve been needing- a hat!
It’s been really cold here lately and I was in need of a good hat. So I splurged & got myself a cashmere hat in charcoal {so that it goes with everything, including my sweater}. Available in five colors, including blue, charcoal, mauve, oatmeal or red, this hat is 100% cashmere. It’s slouchy, which I think is cute for women’s hats. It’s really hard to tell how nice something like this is just from looking at it online, but I took a risk & ordered it.
When I ordered it, I had my choice of delivery days- anywhere from the next day {with an added fee} to several weeks later. I love that feature because my goal for this year has been to have birthday cards & gifts planned for the month at the beginning of the month, so I could always go to Red Envelope’s site in the beginning of the month & order something to be delivered at the end!
When my hat arrived {even earlier than expected, I might add} I was so excited to try it out! I was surprised by how thin it was {I’m not used to cashmere} but the second I put it on I knew it was a good thing. The hat was warmer than any cotton one I’ve worn, and since it was lighter it was much more comfortable. It really does go with everything & I’ve worn it quite a few times since receiving it! I highly recommend it- if it was cheaper I’d get it in all of the different colors! Although I am eyeing the matching scarf…

Pretty! I have never received a gift from them before, but I have bought gifts from them before. Sadly, I think they’re a bit overpriced and don’t have much to choose from (IMHO).
